Captain America - Team Jensen Ackles
I totally don't want to do this, but I just want to get something out of my mind.
Whoever they cast to play Captain American, he will also be in future films with Ironman, Hulk and others. We are talking about an actor who can nail the role as Captain America, a hero and a leader, and someone who has to look right when he stands next to Robert Downey Jr and Ed Norton and Samuel L Jackson etc.. These are heavy-weight actors! That's why I can't stand behind the actors who were named today. Read more here.
I am really hoping Jensen Ackles will get the role. I know I know! Shut up! But seriously, out of the list of actors mentioned today, can you actually see The Office Jim and the Gosspi Girl dude playing a LEADER? A HERO? Can their acting ability level with high calibre of actors who have already signed up? You can be unknown or a TV actor but at the end of the day, your acting will do the talking! Can any of these actors do it? I don't see it! Jensen is the only actor on this list who could do it!
With Jensen, I know there is a scheduling issue because he is also filming Supernatural, but I am sure if he is the one, they can work something out. I am bias. Shameless! But Jensen has the look and his acting ability is awesome! And it's rare for an actor in his generation. Jensen is an awesome actor who has the voice, leadership quality and the mannerism to play the Cap!
Season 3 of Supernatural was aired early October a few years go, so potentially, Jensen could still film Captain America in June to August. Then he can fly back to Vancouver to shoot Supernatural season 6. I think they usually film at least 3-4 (or less) episodes in advanced, so I don't see why they can't work out the schedule.
At the end of the day, it's about getting it right. If they can't get the right guy to play the Cap, they are stuck with him for the next 9 films! We don't want to get to the point where they have to change cast or whatever. They need someone who could stand side by side with Robert Downey Jr and Ed Norton and Samuel L Jackson.
Update: You should read this too. All are rumors until it's officially announced. May be Marvel is auditioning actors for other parts in the movie. Who knows?!
Calm Before the Storm - Supernatural Spoilers
Read at your own risk, because they are spoilery.
Just when you think it's been quite.. here comes the major heart-attack spoilers.
First up, Mary Winchester 1.0 Samantha Smith is returning. Not sure which episode she is going to appear on but it's gonna be great! I am really hoping Mary will be herself and not an illusion or a flashback. But how else are the writers going to bring her back? All I need now is JDM to return!!!!! Kripke!!! Sera!!! Anyone? MAKE THE CALL!!!
Sources from SpoilerTV and her Facebook.
Second spoiler is a MAJOR SPOILER!! OH MY GOD MAJOR! Ausiello reports:
Question: I’ll send you some birthday cake if you give me some Supernatural scoop about the 100th episode.
Ausiello: In the milestone episode, airing April 15, "a very important character will sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission,” reveals exec producer Sera Gamble. “We definitely kept in mind that this was [an important] episode. We wanted to deliver something with real scope; it’s about the Archangel Michael. Crises will come to a head for Dean and Castiel. And you’ll see characters you never thought you’d see again.”
I am guessing it could be... Wait.. I am not going to guess! My head hurts when it comes to guessing what the writers would do. You're not watching Boring Housewives or Dr Sexy. This is intense!!
OK.. may be I'll make a guess, just to get this out of the system!!!
OK first of all, 2 things: We haven't seen the cast list and the synopsis for the 100th episode.
IMDB still has Jensen as the Director of the episode, which is not true according to earlier sources. So, apart from J2, Bobby and Castiel, we don't know who will be on the episode. My guess is Dr Badass and Mary will return. Both are considered as characters you never thought you’d see again. We've seen Mary in When the Levee Breaks, but Dr Badass is definitely a character we thought we'd never see again. He's either not dead or a spirit or perhaps GOD? But that's just too cute, right?! But I am still hoping they will announce the return of Jeffrey Dean Morgan!!!!
Cast list aside, we still haven't seen the synopsis of the 100th episode. We know it's called Point of No Return. It will focus hugely on the Archangel Michael and it's an important episode for Dean. But that's all we know.
So! Based on my assumptions on the cast list and I know absolutely nothing about the episode story, I think this the important character will sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission could be [He-Who-Is-Loved-By-Many]. I hope I am wrong!!!!! We love [He-Who-Is-Loved-By-Many]! We absolutely love [He-Who-Is-Loved-By-Many]! Of course, the argument is that by saying "sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission", it doesn't mean they will die. I know it's obvious but I am just saying...
This is the worst case scenario, I am just preparing for the worst, that's all. But if [He-Who-Is-Loved-By-Many] dies, the sadness of this episode will level with Abandon All Hope. There aren't many characters for the writers to kill off now, and if the writers keep killing characters, they will need some new characters in season 6.
So anyway! Keep in mind, the 3rd brother is supposed to return at some stage in season 5, but I don't think this is part of anything major but I could be wrong. Gabriel or Chuck or Rufus could return to this episode, but I haven't heard anything about their return. Another one is JMD, who I've mentioned already. Pamela will be in Dark Side of the Moon, she is not on the 100th episode. I don't think Crowley or Zachariah or Raphael or Jacob or Becky will sacrifice themselves in a suicide mission, so we can pretty much write them off.
More spoiler talk, another up-coming episode will be about Dean and Sam are murdered and go to Heaven, so Mary, Dr Badass and Adam could be in Heaven waiting and talking to them.
Read the spoiler? Any thoughts?

An Update from Channel Ten on Supernatural

First look at Batman: Under the Red Hood
Thanks to Winchester Bros for the heads up!! ENJOY!!!! This is the first look at the animation Batman: Under the Red Hood. I can't wait to see the actual DVD!
I think this should be a live acting movie with Jensen Ackles in it!!! Go to Winchester Bros for screen caps too! You guys are AWESOME!
See Jensen doing the voice-action in the studio, there is also a short interview. AWESOME!!!! I am so going to buy this! And also you see Mr Neil Patrick Harris in voice-action too!
Interview with McG & Mark A Sheppard
Moving on...to me, the blog worthy articles this week aren't too spoilery. Read at your own risk.
First up, I like McG. I don't care what you think.
"McG has nothing but praise for the fans (and fan fiction) of Supernatural. He says, "I'm a huge fan of the fan fiction. I think it's a wonderful art form." and goes on to extol the virtues of fans having access to Final Cut Pro and laptops, letting them make their own Supernatural"
Woah! Keep writing and filming people! You could be the next showrunner. God help us all!

Mark A Sheppard talks about Supernatural. It wouldn't be so bad if Mark plays God. Haha.. Just saying! Love his acting and his accent!

Dates Set! Supernatural 100th Episode & Season Five Finale
We come back from the hellatus on March 25 with Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. We get all the remaining episodes straight through. That means no re-run or pre-emptions.
The 100th episode (episode 5.18) is called Point of No Return. No title for the finale has been announced, I think they are still writing it.
WOOHOO I said!

Some Love for Smallville: Absolute Justice, Lost & 24
The first thing I noticed is that the writing was really good. It was a very very good story. I think Geoff Johns brought something really powerful to the show. I am not a Superman or comic book fan, but I felt the story and the characters. I can't put my finger on it, but I think at one stage, I almost cried. Must be when they were talking about loyalty, friendship and the history. Can't remember! I assume the Justice League of America is old, and it has so much history behind it.
My favorite scene was when Clark was in the JSA Headquarter looking at the memorabilias. There was no dialogue in this scene, but it was a very powerful scene in my opinion. I like how the story of each JSA member was told through the editing (flashback) and the props (their weapons and their costumes). That scene was really well written. I really love how Clark was looking at the JSA painting. I think this episode presented a lot of elements that the writers could use in future episodes and hopefully season 10.
This is probably one of the best and most stand out episodes of Smallville in my book. The members of JSA were very well cast. As a fan of SG1, watching Michael Shanks on screen again was really something. The SFX and the soundtrack were really awesome! And yes, I am one of those people who will need to watch this episode again while searching for information on Wikipedia. Because I dont' know anything about JSA and Checkmate. And may I add, it was really satisfying to listen to SHoE after the viewing of this episode, I didn't have to wait for it to be available on iTune. I love Steve's version of It's Too Late for Chocolate Pie. SHoE is now my second favorite podcast. The first is of course the Crossroads! Crossroads Never Ends!
The more I see the DC superhero stuff on the show, the more I wish the show would take on that direction more. I think because the comic book superhero stuff is really rare on TV these days, and if there is someone out there who could do it, it is Smallville.
Have I mentioned I really like season 4 & 5 of Lost? I had a big Lost marathon during Xmas and it was awesome!!!!! The reason I love about season 4 & 5 is because I felt that I was getting some answers. It still has crap load of questions to answer before the series ends but at least the show was going somewhere in season 4 & 5. I really like the addition of Desmond Hume and Daniel Faraday, The Constant and The Variables are two of my favorite episodes together with every episode that heavily involves Daniel/ Desmond and the time traveling stuff.
Another character that is growing on me is Jacob. Bloody hell!!! Finally we get to know a lot more about Jacob and actually get to see the man. I kinda feel that the Jacob appearance in The Incident was long overdue.
Coming back from the hellatus was great. Season 6 has a great start! I really like the Japanese guy and the introduction of the temple. I am not really a fan of the flash back stuff, it is interesting to watch the 'what if they did land in LA' scenario. But what's the purpose of it? I am always a big fan of the island stuff including the Dharma stuff.
I have a confession! Sometimes I'd fast forward the 'off the island' scenes. SORRY! I just love the island stuff so much better. I hate to admit that I fast forward most of the Sun and Jin in Korea scenes. But I love them when they are back on the island. I also fast forward all the Michael and Walt episodes. Whoops... Of course unless it's Desmond or Daniel related, I won't fast forward. I think Daniel and Desmond are the catalysts, whatever they do, it's important to the mytho of the show.

[Beware of spoilers if you haven't watched 24 before]
I have been watching 24 since its season 4. I love it so much, I wasted no time and got season 1-3 on DVD and had a massive three 24-hour marathon. I have been watching 24 ever since. 24 is highly addictive. You have to watch it 24 hour non-stop! It's crazy, it's soooo good!
I love 24 for some many reasons. I like the non-stop action; the baddies always get busted and got killed; Jack saves the day; you can pretty much assumed everyone will die except Jack and Chloe; when CTU is in action, it really kicks asses; Jack is always right, he hasn't been wrong; Chloe said the funniest thing sometimes; I really like Tony, Michelle and Curtis, but why do they have to kill the good guys too?; 24 has the best President ever, David Palmer I love you; 24 has some of the best dialogues on TV.
I really like the NY CTU in action in season 8, everything is so high-tech, it's scary! But I think it's part of the plot that although the technology is so good, but you still need Jack and Chloe, at the end of the day, it's their experience that saves the day, not your high-tech stuff. I think the first few hours of season 8 have established that. Let's looking at Director Hasting, he relies on the technology to tell him who is the bad guy is and he doesn't question it because that's what the system tells him. That clearly tells me he has no experience in handling this!
What I don't like about 24 sometimes, is that I don't like the side stories. If they are relevant to the main plot, then yeah ok.. But if it's not or if it's not that important, then I'd fast forward it. I hope the Dana Walsh versus her ex-boyfriend arc gets resolved soon. I find that really annoying. Dana honey, just kick his ass. It'd better be important and relate to the main plot, otherwise it's a waste of time. Like back in season 3 (I think), how many minutes were wasted on Chase and his baby; and I find that anything that has to do with Sherry Palmer was boring, her story wasn't really well plotted, they were just annoying, like her character! Her character sometimes served a purpose, but the main story can do without her.
I really hate it when people don't trust Jack and they think they know better and waste everyone's time. CTU directors like Driscoll, Chappelle, Hasting and McGill really annoyed me. And Larry too annoyed me at the beginning of last season! But all in a good way! And here comes the good part, Jack is always right, he hasn't been wrong. He always lets his action to do the talking! If I was Jack, I'd say EAT IT TWILIGHT!
Season 6 was crap. It was the only season I don't like and won't watch it again. I was expected a very exciting season when I found out season 6 was going to be about the Bauers, but it was a really flat season. I don't like the guy who played Jack's father. I don't think he nailed the role, it was like he tried to do too much by doing so little, if that makes sense? I was like "What are you trying to do?" the whole time! And was it the season they killed Curtis?! That's when they introduced Mike Doyle who was another douche! I mostly don't like the way he talked to Nadia!
Anyway, 24 is really looking good now. I really like how the writers turn Renee into Jackie Bauer! I think President Logan is returning later on. OH HURRY UP AND DIE ALREADY! His character is just so annoying! He is like a cockroach you can't kill! You can't squash it, you can't kill it with Baygon. It just keeps crawling around!
My favorite seasons of 24 are definitely season 3, 4 and 5. I really like Tony, Michelle, Curtis, Palmer and Bill (And Karen). Oh hell, I'll admit I also like Mike Novick and Arron Pearce! As far as the golden age of a TV series is concerned, I think season 3, 4 and 5 were the best! In fact, I think I am going to rewatch season 5 tonight, where the cockroach got busted! I hate him! Coz he killed David Palmer!!!!
I think at the end of the day, most characters are annoying, but in a good way. You need them there so that when Jack kick their asses or whatever, you'll be doing happy dance and high five!
Oh.. and I really want to see Jack or Chloe using the iPad in season 8. BRING IT!
Wishlist for Supernatural Season Five and Six
Kripke always has a five-year plan. He mentioned that the angel stuff wasn't part of the five year plan until later. So what exactly is his five year plan? It'll be very very interesting to see what the writers can come up with for the rest of season 5 and certainly season 6.
Building from the previous post, here is a revised wish list of possible scenarios and directions for season 5 and 6:
1.) As previously mentioned, Kripke is rumored to remain on the show only as the Executive Producer, he will step away from running the show on a day-to-day basis. Sera Gamble is the new show runner. Supernatural has some of the best writers in the business, as long as Kripke and Gamble & co are involved, I am happy. Eric is NOT stepping away completely. I hope he will still write and direct an episode in season 5 or 6. I love Sera, Ben and Bobby Singer, so the team is still there, just a bit of restructuring. Seriously I am not worried about the quality of season 6.
2.) Jensen and Jared remain on the show. BUT don't kill off Castiel, Bobby and Chuck. In particular, I think Misha Collins brought something new to the show and I hope he is sticking around. If he is, I hope the angel story line will still be around. I don't think the writers should just cut off the angel story line clean.
3.) Season 6 should be the last season of the show and the show should go out on a high note. If it is, then I think the CW should just announce that it is the last season of the show and to announce the date of the series finale for 2011. I do not want to see the headline "CW canceled Supernatural".
4.) Will season 5 finale end with a cliff-hanger? When will Detroit come into play?
Kripke wanted a certain story line to end in season 5. Does it mean we are not going to get the usual cliffhanger? I love all cliffhangers presented by the show. I think we need one to go into the summer hellatus.
5.) The Detroit event might lead to Sam saying yes to Lucifer and Dean stays firm with his decision of saying no, as mentioned in The End. Having only one of the brothers saying yes, could be an interesting scenario.
Everything leads up to this point! Will Sam and Dean say yes? Yes or no, this is going to be an ultimate end to this story arc. After I watched The Song Remains the Same, I said perhaps Dean will say yes. And then I changed my mind.
Well.. Star Wars was on TV last night and it kinda got me thinking. Perhaps Dean will still say no, like Luke Skywalker who didn't turn to the dark side. But Sam will say yes and go completely Vader/ Anakin Skywalker. So only Dean can change it, see the good in his brother and asked him to fight Lucifer. Like Luke, asking his father to fight and he did. Anakin killed Empire Palpatine.
6.) I am guessing we'll see Lucifer finally unleashes the Croatian virus in Detroit. Possibly in the season 5 finale. Or he may do so before the season finale. But what the hell is going to happen in Detroit?! Judgement Day?
7.) God is already a character on the show, but will see get to SEE God? I hope so!
8.) Sera recently mentioned we won't be seeing Apocalypse, The Squeaquel in season 6. Is this a possible spoiler for the season 5 finale plot? Does it mean Michael and Lucifer will fight it out and then peace on earth? Sam and Dean go back to their Apple pie life? I think perhaps we will still see the apocalypse to a certain extend, I still have a feeling that we will still see some angel/ heaven story element season 6.
I'd personally would love to see season 6 to go completely Terminator and to focus on the post-apocalypse scenario as seen in The End.
9.) I want to see a movie length episode, preferably the series finale.
10.) Seeing Jeffrey Dean Morgan to return to the show before the series end has been on my all wish list. I don't care if this is a flash back scenario of what, I just want him to come back and guess star an episode.
This is a work in progress. I will keep working on this.

Jim Beaver Behind the Scene Interview with TVOvermind

Jensen Ackles on Batman: Under the Red Hood
"The other newcomer to animation acting is Jensen Ackles, who voices the villain of the piece, the Red Hood. Ackles, of course, is best known for his portrayal of Dean Winchester on The CW
“There really wasn’t any heavy acting choices to make,” says Ackles regarding Red Hood. “It pretty much just bounced off the page, and I just tried to do it justice. With working in this medium, once you get clear on all the specific pronunciations and how the tone of the voice needs to rise and fall, it was really about focusing on the more emotional elements of the script, especially in the intense moments and trying to envision the scene with the characters. And envisioning yourself in that scenario. A lot of times if you can do that, if you can put yourself there, I think the voice follows suit.”
Between his work on Supernatural and now the world of Batman, Ackles obviously has had some experience working in what has affectionately been called the “fan boy genre.”
“The positives of working in this genre are that the fans are extremely devoted,” he offers. “People really invest themselves in these stories and characters, and the mythology behind them. To be a part of something that so many people really get behind and want more of is extremely gratifying.”
Batman: Under The Red Hood will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in October."

Eric Kripke stays as the Exec Producer with Sera Gamble as the new showrunner!
It's been reported by Ausiello from EW that Eric Kripke is stepping down as the showrunner of Supernatural, however, he will still be on the show as Executive Producer. Sera Gamble (Executive Producer and Writer), will be the new showrunner.
Seriously. OK! First of all, it's sad to see Eric Kripke stepping down as the showrunner. However, he is still actively involved. For that, I am very happy. ^_^
Secondly, I LOVE Sera Gamble. She is loved by fans! I haven't met a Supernatural fan who doesn't like Sera! She has been very vocal about the show and the story since season 1. She's done more interviews than Eric Kripke. Sera is THE BEST choice to run the show if Kripke is stepping down. Beside there isn't many women showrunners in the business, so kudos to Sera for all her brilliant work and ideas since season 1. She totally deserves it.
Some fans have concern about this and some are already hating it. Seriously, if you don't like it, don't watch it. But don't brainlessly bad month season 6 already without even knowing anything about it. This is a bonus season, so let's enjoy the ride and quit bitching about it! I can't see how Sera and co can stuff up season 6. SO BRING IT!
Pop the Moët and Let's Party! Supernatural Season 6 Confirmed!!
Before I went to bed last night, I actually opened a bottle of Moët. No special reasons, I just had a burger and fries last night, we've got nothing to drink except the Moët. But revelation came this morning. I now realise why that bottle of Moët was opened! Hey Mum, I could see the future!
When I woke up, Twitter was exploded with the news. Supernatural season 6 has been officially confirmed by The CW. This is an early pick up, no news on Smallville season 10, but I hope The CW will announce it soon, one way or another.
This is what we know from Maureen Ryan from the Chicago Tribune.
- Eric Kripke is coming back for season 6. In Kripke we trust, I am not worried about the quality of the show because of Kripke and his writers.
- Sera Gamble said that we will not be getting Apocalypse, The Squeaquel in Season 6.
- You don't know this already: Supernatural has one of the most loyal audiences of any show on television and does heroic work in a perennially tough time period. It has improved over last season among women and adults 18-34 (29% and 8%, respectively) this season, a remarkable accomplishment for a fifth-year show.
This is what I don't know:
- Will Season 6 will be the last season of the show? (My feeling is yes. Contractually, Jensen and Jared are signed for six seasons only. And creatively, I don't think it should go beyond season 6.)
- The show has just been renewed, so obviously there isn't much details about the story arc, direction of season six, who get to live (apart from Dean and Sam.) etc...
- Will Supernatural be stay on the Thursday time slot? Or will it go to Friday with Smallville (IF Smallville gets the renewal?
So I am going to gathering my thoughts and go wild with my theory and put together a wish list within the next few days. I will keep you posted with any development.
Whoever is going to Comic Con, I think it's likely that Supernatural will have a panel there. So Tweet well my friends!

Tiny's caring and sharing time: The Colt, The Winchester and The ......
We know Samuel Colt invented the revolver and the Winchester is a rifle and shotguns manufacturer. But did you know, Smith & Wesson is also a gun manufacturer?
That's Dean Smith and Sam Wesson from season four's It's a Terrible Life.
So now we know, where Eric Kripke get his inspiration from! NICE!
Supernatural News Digest
SpoilerTV reported that the title for episode 5.19 may change from OMFG to Hammer of the Gods. I am guessing that it has something to do with the recent casting of Baldur, the God of Light.
Recently, I haven't paid much attention to the review from the usual TV critics, only a handful of them are still giving constructive reviews. Other reviews are just pointless. So here is the one I recommend for this week's episode 5.14 My Bloody Valentine: iFMagazine.
I wasn't going to get too carried away from the whole Captain America casting development or rumors. But here is a good blog from Comic Book Movie.

Mark Pellegrino on Lost, Supernatural and Teaching
Mark also plays the Devil on Supernatural, as if you don't know that already! He is awesome!!! Sam might say yes, and we have seen Lucifer wearing Sam in The End. But I think Mark Pellegrino IS Lucifer, just like Misha Collins IS Castiel.
Mark talked about Lost, Supernatural and teaching acting with Melissa Parker from Our Prattville. And he loves us more! When I said us, I mean Supernatural.
Melissa Parker (Our Prattville): Now you get to play the devil on Supernatural and you’re freshly released from hell (laughs).
Mark Pellegrino: (laughs) Freshly raised from hell and raised to wreak havoc on this planet.
Melissa: How do you get into a mindset to play Lucifer?
Mark: Well, I think the thing is … Lucifer’s problem is very human. So, I don’t have to think about anything immortal or celestial. I just think about the issues in terms of human issues and the issue to me is that Lucifer was betrayed by his father and his brother whom he admired for something less than him. He was thrown over … sacrificed, and he wants revenge. So I think that’s a pretty down to earth issue that almost anybody can relate to.
Melissa: Lucifer will have it out with the Winchester boys soon.
Mark: He’s going to use them to get what he wants. He’s going to use them to exact his revenge on his dad and brother. I think there’s a fight brewing between the brothers, that’s for sure.
Melissa: Which character, Jacob or Lucifer, have you had the most fun with?
Mark: (laughs) Gosh, they are so different. I have a lot of fun with Lucifer because there’s a lot of latitude that I’m given. You know, I can play, and I like the fact that they write him as honest, kind of a down to earth character. That gives me a lot of leverage.
Melissa: So you enjoy Lucifer a bit more?
Mark: (laughs) I hate to say I enjoy Lucifer a lot! But, Jacob is still more of a mystery to me … the myth is a mystery to me. Whereas, Lucifer’s myth is pretty well known and pretty saturated in our culture you know. So, I’m not sure yet. I’m flying more blind with Jacob.

Thoughts on Supernatural Episode 5.14 My Bloody Valentine
Three words to describe Supernatural 5.14 My Bloody Valentine: Gross, Funny and Sad. Aren't they the classic Supernatural elements? Skip the pink paragraph below if you don't give a crap about my personal journey on how I finished watching the episode.
I went through a great length to watch this episode. Seriously. My internet has been sucking lately. My data usage is at capacity. So it has been exceptionally slow. Downloading a podcast would normally take minutes, but now it takes hours. So watching an episode of Supernatural online has not been easy the past two weeks! Anyway, I finally downloaded the episode after God knows how many hours, but guess what? The download stopped at the 39th minute of the episode. BLOODY HELL. The horseman was torturing me! I was hungry for the last minute of the episode. But thank GOD! I finally have the whole thing and watched it like it's made of GOLD!
My Bloody Valentine was written by Ben Edlund, directed by Mike Rohl. Mark has previously directed Monster at the End of the Book, On the Head of the Pin, The Usual Suspects and Folsom Prison Blues. AWESOME!
For some reasons, this episode has the same vibe as The Great Pumpkin Sam Winchester or Lazarus Rising. May be it's because in Great Pumpkin, Dean saw Sam using his power for the very first time. And in Lazarus Rising, we saw Sam using his power for the first time at the Diner.
It was GROSS
This episode was gross! But I think Metamorphosis was more gross. The opening scene and the gory details of the episode were gross. Seriously Mr Edlund! Only you can come up with stuff like this. I love you!
Famine was very creepy. Like Dracula creepy! Like the original Wicked Witch of the West creepy! Like Empire Palpatine creepy! And I hate him! I'll tell you why later.
It was FUNNY
Castiel is the funniest angel of the garrison. He was too cute in the episode! From the "I'm just gonna hang up now" to "This [burger] makes me happy". Poor Jimmy, he's gonna be so sick after Cas stuff him with so many burgers! I laugh every time I see the comedic scenes. Fans are just falling in love with Cas all over again! I think Cas is now an integral part of the show. The chemistry between Misha and Jensen is just growing and growing. It's such a joy to watch them!
Cupid was funny. I was expecting him to be in more than one scene. He was so cute. So if the Cupid is a cherub, third-class, what class is Castiel?
Sam's snacks
Sammy is hungry for demon blood and he can exorcise multiple demons, I think five demons in one go? That was a pretty cool scene in terms of the visual. That's like a level ten of demon-exorcising!
It's been 14 episodes since we last saw Sammy used his powers. It's pretty sad to see Sammy like this, we thought his powers were gone after Lucifer was unleashed. But like Ruby 1.0 said, his powers were simply dormant. I think they are too deep in Sam's blood.
Sam was at least being honest with Dean, when he was feeling the intensity. He asked Dean to lock him up in the motel. But still, seeing Sammy sucking demon blood and using his dark powers again was pretty heart breaking. He knew it was wrong, he couldn't fight it. He just couldn't.
I really like how Jared interprets the dark Sam. Sam is not the comedic type and he doesn't do the one-liner like Dean. He is more the serious type and he does well with the puppy eyes stuff. But Jared really excels when he channels the dark Sam.
It was SAD
Hey you! You Old Creepy Hungry Piece of CRAP Famine CRAP You! Don't you push Dean to the floor and kick him! Don't you dare! You Old Creepy Hungry Piece of CRAP!
If Dean is empty inside, he wouldn't have strong feelings towards his family, Sam and his friends. I so wanted to punch Famine in the face. I hate it when demons and monsters said bad things to Dean and patronize him. I really want Dean to prove them wrong and kick their asses!
Pleading to God for help was the best moment of the entire episode. DAMMIT! Just help him already!!! I thought he was going to say yes right there! I like how Cas comforted Dean by saying 'that's not really Sam in there.. he just needs to get that out of his system'.
Wasn't Jensen Ackles awesome or what? Once again, he totally nailed that scene. Only Jensen can pull that off! Give him an award please! He is seriously so underrated!!
For the record, I really want Jensen to play Captain America. Where there is a will, there is a way. If he is in, I am sure they can work out the filming schedule. You want the character stuff in the film, Jensen is your man!
Jared needs a hair cut and stop buffing up!
Jared needs a haircut. If he doesn't, I swear I am going to start campaigning this! His sideburns are too Elvis if you know what I mean! And I think Jared is getting too buff, he needs to stop! He is not playing Conan the Barbarian, that's Jason Momoa.
There is something about Supernatural
There is always something you like about an episode of Supernatural, even for Sam Interrupted or Bad Day at Black Rock or Criss Angel is a Douchebag. They might not be fan's favorites but there is always one thing you like about them. As much as I love Lost, 24 or Smallville, there is always something in an episode that I don't like or I find it annoying, I wish I could just skip it. But to me, Supernatural is the opposite. There is always one classic Supernatural moment i.e. comedic moment or a Dean's one-liner that make that episode somewhat watchable. This episode has plenty of great moments, I'm happy to give it a 4 out of 5.

Thoughts on Supernatural 5.13 The Song Remains the Same
What is the title of this episode again? (A) Everybody Loves Raymond (B) Everybody Hates Chris (C) Everybody Wants to Kill Sam. (D) D for Dean (E) In the Middle or (F) In the Middle of the Same Song
Supernatural is at its best with The Song Remains the Same. This episode was written by Sera Gamble and Nancy Weiner, directed by Steve Boyum. You know Steve from his directorial work such as The End, In the Beginning, Death Takes a Holiday, Dream a Little Dream of Me and Crossroad Blues. And for those who are not familiar with Nancy Weiner, she wrote Monster at the End of the Book and The Real Ghostbusters. Yeah! THAT Nancy!
Where do I begin? I have a lot to say about this episode. It's ridiculous how much I love this episode. This is frekking brilliant! For the 99th times, I love the Winchester Family episodes such as Home and In the Beginning. In fact, The Song Remains the Same tops Home and In the Beginning. I love every scene and every second of it.
Here are my thoughts with music recommendation!
(Song: The Power of Love, Huey Lewis)
Rarely we see the Winchesters Family (i.e. mum, dad and the two boys) in the same episode, same scene and exchange dialogue. Despite the life and death situation they were in, seeing Mary and John interacting with Dean and Sam was heart warming.
The Impala scene was long overdue!! As a big fan of the family episode, this is what I've been waiting for!!!! We haven't seen John driving the Impala before, we knew he was driving the car in After School Special, but we didn't see him in the shot. So this was the first time we saw John driving the Impala with Mary next to him, Dean and Sam at the backseat. With Dad telling everyone to shut up, that completed the awkward family road trip! Wouldn't it be funny if Mary was the driver?!
Before I forget, I just wanted to say how brilliant Matt Cohen and Amy Gumenick were as Young John and Mary. Jensen and Jared were brilliant as usual, but Matt and Amy stole the show. The four of them really have a lot of chemistry.
(Song: That Thing You Do, from the movie That Thing You Do!)
So... Anna was on a mission to kill Mary and John before they conceived Sam. So why bother to tell Dean? Surely she knew he won't let her kill Sammy, he was so gonna tell his BFF Castiel everything. But I can't figure out who let her go though, if she was indeed let go, like Castiel said. Or did she really escape and went Glenn Close?
If Heaven let her go and program her to kill Sam, then Lucifer lose his true vessel. So what, his power will be limited, making it easier to destroy him? Do you think the order came from Michael? But I don't think he cares, because I don't think he is afraid of losing. He could have just killed Sam with a snap of his fingers. Unless there is another agenda yet to be revealed? Or perhaps someone else let her escape? If so, who was it?
(Song: What a Wonderful World, Joey Ramone)
The way Glenn Close and Arnie went back to 1978 was kinda Terminator. But at least they have their clothes on! I am a little bit disappointed that Cas passed out and didn't assist after that. But that's ok. He did great in the beginning. I miss Cas so much! Two episodes without him is torture! The way he spoke Enochian (assuming it was Enochian), was so hot!
By the way, why must Dean and Castiel and now Young John talk like Christian Bale in Batman and Terminator? HOT!
(Song: Earth Angel, Marvin Berry And The Starlighters)
BTW, is it me or did the way Mary opened the door reminded you of the way the other Mary opened the door for Dean in WIAWSNB? And John! How can you not remember Dean Van Halen, the hottie who recommended the Impala to you? Also, how often do you get to call your parents by their first names without getting into trouble?
Another cool thing is that, we haven't really seen Mary in combat action before as a hunter. We saw that here! She kicked Anna's ass! Mary! You are awesome! Amy Gumenick is really awesome as Mary. Welcome to the family! I
(Song: That soundtrack from Star Wars, John Williams)
I was really hoping Dean would tell Mary everything. He did. YAY! But then Michael wiped the parents' memories clean. I was also hoping Dean and Sam to say MUM I LOVE YOU and then a massive Winchester hug before they go back to 2010. There was no hugs in this episode! That's probably the only thing missing!
who is not played by Michael Shanks
(Song: Carry on Wayward Son, Kansas)
Now that the Winchester bloodline is in the story, perhaps from the writer's point of view, this is the best way to introduce Michael and for him to talk to Dean face to face. There is no other bloodline/ Winchester vessel left, and obviously Michael can't wear Sam. Of course, Michael could have just appeared in Dean's dream as Pedestrian X, Y or Z, but wearing John the vessel is so much more interesting and it ties in with the bloodline thing.
Michael is obviously a very very powerful angel, he is probably the most powerful of all angels. Just like Gabriel, with a snap of his fingers, he could make you disappear. But with a touch, he could burn the angel and their vessel into ashes. Poor Anna.. or not! The special effect in this scene was really cool!
I guess this scene may have just answered my question earlier. If Michael let Anna go, why killed her? I mean he can always bring her back, but I don't think so. So perhaps, Anna did escape or someone else let her escape? Actually, does it matter whether she was let go or not? I am confused now. Details!
Matt Cohen did a brilliant job playing John Winchester and the Archangel Michael. I wonder what was his reaction when he found out he will be playing Michael. OMFG! His performance was really good! Welcome to the family!
By the way, John Winchester is the only character who has been the vessel for the angel (Michael) and the demon (YED).
(Repeat: Carry on Wayward Son, Kansas)
Michael and Lucifer are not so much different in terms of the way they talk (very gently), they have similar mannerism and the angle they presented to Dean and Sam are opposite but similar. Micheal being the big brother, like Dean, raised Lucifer and loved him. Lucifer, like Sam, the little brother who rebelled against God's plan.
This is like round two of anything! In round one, Lucifer (Oh Jacob! I love Mark Pellegrino) presented his sales pitch to Sam. And in round two, Michael presented his sales pitch to Dean. Now that Michael and Lucifer have spoken, the big question is looming more than ever. I think Dean and Sam will say YES. Just like the previous big questions in Supernatural: Will Dean go to Hell? YES. Will Sam turn darkside? YES. Will Lucifer rise? YES. Will Dean and Sam say yes? YES. It's a matter of how, why, when and what's going to happen after that.
Michael has made it clear that he won't leave Dean a drooling mess after he's done wearing him, we won't see the issue Raphael's vessel has. Dean will definitely return as a hottie in a body.
(Song: We Go Together, John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John)
I notice the music (violin/ piano or whatever that is) is very similar to the previous family episodes. For example, In Home, when John appeared at the end of the episode, looking at his wedding ring. In WIAWSNB, when Mary was talking to Dean towards the end of the episode, asking him to stay in the alternative reality and when Dean was talking to John in the cemetery. And In the Beginning, when Dean was warning Mary not to get out of bed on November 2, 1983.
Using music this way really ties in with the Winchester Family story arc. I wish they could release this music for fans to download, I really love this piece of music.
(Song: My Life Would Suck Without You, Glee Cast)
So, this is IT! Team Free Will or Team Destiny or whatever it's called! I call it Team Tiny. Don't like it? Eat me!
Would Dean say yes if Michael can save Mary from dying in the nursery? I think his answer would be YES. I think if season five is the last season, I think that's how it will end. Dean says YES to save Mary, and Sam says YES to save John. THE END. But season five might not be the last season and I am not Eric Kripke. If I am Kripke, I won't be sitting here talking to you.
Any theories on how Michael and Lucifer are going to make Dean and Sam say YES? There are many things the angels can use as leverage against Dean and Sam.
The Song Remains the Same is now one of my favorite episodes of Supernatural. I cannot stop watching it, I cannot stop talking about it. I abso-superfreking-lutely love it. Your thoughts?
