I GET IT MISHA! WELL EXPLAINED! STOP TALKING! Haha... I love to see Misha giving a 3-hour history lecture with a PowerPoint Presentation, even if the only word of his choosing is BLAH.

Spinoff Online has posted a summary of the Supernatural panel at SDCC.

About 8 weeks to go! 8 weeks is like how many years in hell? Here are a few new teaser trailers for Supernatural & Smallville.

[Spoiler Alert: HIGH!] This is my pick! Daemon TV's interview with Jensen Ackles, featuring Jared's butt around the the 7 mins 55 seconds mark.

Finally, a section of the epic video montage of Smallville is on YouTube. It's the season 10 clips. OMG!

MTV posted a comprehensive report on the Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams EW Visionaries Panel. EOnline also has a write-up.

Chris Evans talked to
MTV about Captain America. The Chris Evens Blog has heaps of photos. Scarlett-Fan also has a few great shots there. I thought Scarlett tied up her hair, I didn't realise it was a cut! It's nice! May I repeat, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson reunited the first time since The Nanny Diaries.

You may start the countdown for ComicCon 2011.

Comic Con 2010 - Best of Day 4 (Part II - Supernatural)

Holy Tiny! I have to finish the Comic Con write-up with Supernatural. So let's start the engine again.

[Beware of spoilers]

Supernatural season 6 is going to pay homage to season 1 with the monster of the week route and I am cool with it.

The show will pick up a year later with Dean living a normal life working at a construction site. Dean is living with Lisa and Ben, he has a homemade meal and falls a sleep in a normal bed every night. He is a family guy. I assume this is where Sam comes in, he has been hunting by himself for a year and Dean know nothing about it. Something is going to happen and they will be back on the road, saving people, hunting things, family business. Dean will try very hard to protect his family, Lisa and Ben included.

Photos belong to Warner Bros. Television Entertainment/Greg Gayne

This season will have a lot of monsters and the show will revisit supernatural creatures like vampires and Djinn. Castiel is now the head cheese in Heaven. Bobby's demon deal with Crowley will continue to have a place in season 6. Clark Kent is not going to fly over Kansas and Dr Sheldon Cooper is not going appear as a guest-star to explain all things supernatural with a scientific perspective.

Onto the panel: Jensen kicked things off by introducing a clip of Weekend at Bobby's, directed by Jensen. I can't find a clip of the actual episode. I'm sure I'll find one later.

Jensen talks about season 6 and someone brought up Dean's shirt is tucked in. You will see other clips there.

Misha Collins talked about Castiel.

Let's go to the interviews. Yeah. Visual is good!

Jensen Ackles talks to Zap2It.

Misha Collins talked to BuzzFocus. He is so cute and honest!! We love Misha! Beware: Misha tells us nothing in the interview! Hehe.

At the signing by Buzz Focus:

Chris McLaughlin (TV PR guy at WB) has a good shot of the guys.

WinchesterBros has tones of photos.

There is a collective exclusive cast interview on
MovieWeb. The dude who asked Jensen when will he direct the movie, should really do his homework!!!!

There are tones of interviews and photos! Here are my source list. Beware of spoilers:

TV Squad has a collection of cast interview from the press room
Alice Jester interviewed Jensen Ackles
DigitalSpy has a live blog with the minute by minute notes
Clarissa and Jim Halterman have some really cool photos from the press room

Eyes popped. Brain fried. Time for bed.

Thanks for the visit.

Comic Con 2010 - Best of Day 4 (Part I - Smallville)

It's Smallville and Supernatural Super Big Day Out! I am so overwhelmed, I think this is probably the first time I don't know where to start. There are just so many information out there! I think it's only appropriate to have two parts of the day 3 write up.

Firstly let's look at Smallville.

Source: Seat42F

Fans camped out at Comic Con the night before the panel. (Wish I was the one selling coffee on site.) Let me just say this, the stuff that came out from the panel was massive! Seriously! The video montage was enough to send fans to cloud Krypton! This is one epic summary of the journey of Smallville from season 1 to 9. We also get to see a few shots of season 10.

I am relatively a new fan, I have only started watching the series about less than 2 years ago. It's a bit cheesy at times with the 90201 high school stuff, but once we move to Daily Planet from Smallville High, I began to love the show more. It's a great story about Clark becoming Superman.

[The Panel - Spoilers Alert!]

A lot of fans see season ten as the last season of Smallville. Rest assured, season ten will be jam-packed with goodies!!!! On returning characters, we will see the return of Papa Kent John Schneider (he was on stage too!);
Lionel Luther John Glover; Supergirl Laura Vandervoort; James Marsters, aka Milton Fine/ Braniac, and Justice Society members! What about Michael Rosenbaum? You'll know when you know! For whatever reasons that are holding back whoever is responsible, Lex has to come back to the show. The Producers are saying the door is open for Rosenbaum. So we will see.

On directing, Tom Welling is scheduled to direct two episodes this season, Justin Hartley will also direct one episode. It doesn't look like Alison Mack will be directing, she is still on the show but not full time.

OM-Tiny-G!
If the above are Cloud Nine happiness, the following information is sending me to Cloud Krypton! The suit as seen in the video clip is the same as the one used in Superman Returns (Let Welling play the role on the big screen already!!!!); Erica Durance is back as Lois for frekking 22 episodes; Geoff Johns is writing a Blue Beetle and Booster Gold story (I need to do homework on this one); the new villain for season 10 is Darkseid (homework!).

Last but not least... (and I am going to explode!) Clark will fly!

Source: Seat42F

I can't help it! Tom hardly comes out! So I am collecting as many photos as possible!

Source: I found them on Fanpop. There are tones more there!

For a live blog/ minute by minute write up, Zap2It has it! Check it out here! For other sources, check out Superman Homepage & USA Weekend. And be sure to listen to SHoE (Starkville House of El)!!

MovieWeb has exclusive video interview of the cast, including Tom Welling, Erica Durance, Cassidy Freeman,
Laura Vandervoort and Kelly Sounders.

Next: Comic Con 2010 - Best of Day 4 (Part II - Supernatural)

Comic Con 2010 - Best of Day 3 (OH MY!)

Between Inception, zombies dream, Xmas in July and just because it's Sunday here, I hope I am not dreaming. Comic Con this year just gets bigger with guests, news and major announcement.

Call me whatever, but I actually wasn't expecting Chris Evans to be on-site at this year's ComicCon. I was half-expecting a satellite interview or something. G4TV did an on-site interview with Captain America's director Joe Johnson, Chris Evans and Hugo Weaving.

Screen Rent has posted a summary of the Captain America panel. The Chris Evans Blog has posted some amazing photos from Chris' appearance at Comic Con. Go check it out!

I am sure I'll watch Thor because I want to see Natalie Portman, who confirmed that she won't appear in The Avengers. USAToday has a report on the panel.

Onto The Avengers. Some big announcements were made about the casting of Hawkeye and Hulk. Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. Someone was saying Ruffalo's mum was in the VIP line to the panel or something.. That confirmed it alright! Seriously, this is official.

There's more! Here comes the main course for me! Did anyone actually expect to see the cast of
The Avengers on stage at Comic Con this year? I certainly wasn't!! Kevin Feige, Marvel's President showed the fans an Avengers video of the logo narrated by Nick Fury (aka Samuel L Jackon). And then Samuel L Jackson were on stage introducing the cast of The Avengers to stage - Agent Coulson, followed by Scarlett Johansson, then Chris Hemsworth, then Chris Evans then Robert Downey jr.! oh my!

Source: ScreenRent

Source: Marvel

Source: Marvel

When Joss was on stage, he said, "I have had a dream all my life and it was not this good. This cast is more than I could have ever hoped for. And I am going to blow it. So I need your love; I need your support." The crowd went nuts!

[Update: I found a better HD quality video] This is nuts! Samuel L Jackson introducing the cast from the beginning. Followed by RDJ introducing new cast members.

Seriously, who could handle a big cast and handle their relationships and the story well, and who's loved by fans for years? Joss Whedon is certainly the man!

Read it all at
io9. USAToday also has a great summary including Thor, Captain America and The Avengers. If you want the minute by minute report, definitely check out the MTV Splash Page!!

Now that it's official, director of
The Avengers, Joss Whedon is comfortably talking about it. io9 has an awesome video interview with Joss.

The question is: Where is hell is DC? Marvel certainly went all out with the Avengers!

OK so, don't forget!!!
Sunday 25 July, the Super-Best-One-Two-Punch on TV, Smallville and Supernatural will have their panel on stage. Geoff Johns will moderate Smallville, Brian Truitt will moderate the Supernatural panel.

Comic Con 2010 - Best of Day 2

A few days ago, I was trying so hard to get 'Soft Kitty' out of my head! I succeeded.

But when I found out the cast of The Big Bang Theory was singing 'Soft Kitty' by audience request at ComicCon, I was like YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!! Wait, that's not all, there was more singing at the panel!!
Barenaked Ladies was singing the show's theme song with the audience during the show’s panel.

It was revealed that Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will make a guest star appearance on the show in season 4. OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!!!!!!!! TVOvermind has a good report on the panel with some photos. You can also see more photos at Seat42F.

Last night, Batman: Under the Red Hood premiered at Comic Con with Jensen Ackles introducing the screening (not in person!). Watch the video here on YouTube!

Don't forget, on Saturday 24 July, there is a Thor and Captain America panel. May be they will announce something important. MTV's live stream will feature Chris Evens from 6pm on Saturday. Details here.

And on Sunday 25 July, the Super-Best-One-Two-Punch on TV, Smallville and Supernatural will have their panel on stage.
Geoff Johns will moderate Smallville, Brian Truitt will moderate the Supernatural panel. Guess who has arrived at Comic Con, already?! He did an interview with Michael Ausiello today. CLICK HERE TO REVEAL!

To help me sleep better, did you see Jensen Ackles eating gummy candies on the set of Supernatural. Unleash the fangirl in me!! He is too cute!

Comic Con 2010 - Best of Day 1

When I woke up this morning, my Twitter time line was exploded with Comic Con tweets. Thanks all who tweeted. Sleep well, eat well, drink more! Because my life depends on you for the next few days!

Here are a few things I care about:

I was catching all the live tweets during work today. How could I not do that? I couldn't miss the Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams panel! Seriously! I am officially (again) excited about
The Avengers, Joss Whedon is definitely directing it, he is still working on the script etc.

Check out the full report by Comic Book Resources. You can also watch the video of the panel at SpoilerTV. You can also check out Whedonesque and follow them on Twitter.

I have recently, very recently... in fact it was two nights ago, finished watching Firefly. It was a great series! I can see why fans are so in love with the series. Whedon is clearly an original thinker and it's inspirational. I can't wait to see what he's got for The Avengers, which is like one of the biggest movies.

Cast of The Big Bang Theory was at the signing today. CBSTweets posted some really awesome photos on Twitpic today. Go there now and check them out! You can also follow CBS on Twitter.

The Big Bang Theory
panel is on today (Friday 23 July) at 12:45pm. The panel will be moderated by
Wil Wheaton. Did you know, you can also follow Kunal Nayyar (aka Dr Koothrappali) on Twitter?

MTV Splash Page has live stream too, so go check it out here. They also have a dedicate page on SDCC. They posted a photo yesterday, it's gotta be one of my favorites.

Let the Geek-Fest Begin; Supernatural Season 6 Promo Poster; Xmas in July

It's begun. The biggest geek-fest of the planet is here! My Twitter time line is full of tweets about Comic Con.

CW: Honestly, I think you can do better than this. They photoshopped this poster based on last year's one. Seriously! I am sure you can spend a little bit of money to do another photo session with the guys. How lazy can you get? Anyway, here is a promo poster for season 6.

About the iPhone. I have recently done all the updates - Macbook, iTune, this and that and the iPhone iOS4.01. I know people are having problems with the new iPhone update. My iPhone is actually working fine. I hope nothing bad will happen. I am still waiting for the iPhone4 to arrive in Australia. Take your time Apple, I mean it. Get this right, fix it before you release in Australia.

We are having a frekking cold winter in Australia at the moment. Since our summer is actually your winter and our winter is actually your summer, some of us have 'Xmas in July'. Anyway, I am organising a Xmas in July this week. Woohoo! I love Xmas, and I love Xmas in July.

Supernatural Wins - The Constellation Awards

Great news! Supernatural won the Best Sci-Fi TV Series at this year's Constellation Awards. See full list of winners here. The Constellation Awards are Canada's annual sci-fi awards honouring the best in sci-fi film and television.

Still can't over the 'sci-fi' thing, because Supernatural is not sci-fi - there is no science or space ship or aliens in it... even the The Big Bang Theory is closer to being 'sci-fi' than Supernatural, but it's still awesome! Congrats to Eric Kripke, his crew and cast!

19 July 2010

I dreamt of Jensen Ackles; More Red Hood Clip

Yes I did! Not one, but three!

There were three Jensen Ackles in my dream last night. One represented the present, the second one represented the past and the third one represented the future. It was kindly creepy.

I think they were trying to kill each other. And in the end, the winner (I forgot who), put a mask on the dead ones and walked away. Or something like that.

Yeah it was creepy!

Speaking of the man, this is another attempt to campaign Jensen to be cast as Red Hood/ Jason Todd in Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie.

Batman: Under the Red Hood
DVD releases July 27. For another clip from the DVD featuring Jensen, check it out on YouTube.

Eric Kripke, I love you

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke came out to talk about why he stepped down as the show-runner of the show, what his plan is and all that... OMG.. I am liking what I've reading so far. The show is in good hands!!! I have faith. I trust you. You jump I jump.

Here is the interview with
Michael Ausiello.

Don't forget the Comic-Con panel on Sunday, July 25, at 11:15 a.m, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, and Jim Beaver with Sera Gamble, Ben Edlund, and Eric Kripke will all appear on stage. It's gonna be huge!

Who's the best? Jensen Ackles is...

Jensen Ackles is getting good review from his voice role in Batman: Under the Red Hood animation. I can't wait to get hold of it!!! Again.. Christopher Nolan, you NEED to cast Jensen as Jason Todd/ Red Hood in Batman III.

Not only Jensen is getting some fangirl love, he is now getting more fanboy love too! Here is a review on Batman: Under the Red Hood from ComicBookMovie & here & here.

"The appearance of Red Hood, voiced by the fan-loved Jensen Ackles, makes me ill that I haven’t seen him on-screen as a villain, as his voice commanded the fear and anonymity that Hood desired. This was a brilliant casting choice…perfect."

Teachers in Pop Culture - Glee, Dead Poet Society, GTO & School of Rock

I watched the season finale of Glee the other night. Oh boy! The unexpected happened! I cried! Dammit! I cried during the To Sir With Love scene. I cried even more when I saw Sue cried. DAMMIT! So it got me thinking, I am going to talk about teachers in popular culture.

Occasionally, I love a good drama focuses on teachers. Not that I have ever wanted to be a teacher, because I think it should be a highly respected and important profession, and it should rank higher than doctors and lawyers. Three dramas - Glee, Dead Poet Society and GTO - are amongst the best thing I've seen about teaching! I personally have never encountered any teachers during my school years who were inspirational or anything close to Mr Schuester, Mr Keating or Onizuka Sansei. I wish I did. I am sure my life would turn out different!

William Schuester - Glee

Mr Schu is not prefect, but he is a better teacher than anyone who claims to be a teacher on the show. He is cool. He connects to the kids. He is inspirational. He is a leader. He fights for the kids. He doesn't give up on the kids. And Sue Silvester is jealous! HAHA! What I love about Mr Schu is that we get to see his struggle - he wanted to give up, he wanted to be do something that paid more (that's why I hated Terri - she is everything I don't want to be). But in the end, it was the kids who reminded him why he became a teacher.

John Keating - Dead Poet Society

O Captain! My Captain! I mean, seriously! DPS was so inspirational, this movie makes me cry because I kept thinking - I wish I have a Mr Keating in my life!

Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day, make your lives extraordinary!
That was his mojo. He told the kids to throw away the books and think outside the square. His teaching method was out there.

Eikichi Onizuka - GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka)

This is not the first time I mentioned GTO on my blog. For those who are not familiar with GTO, it was a manga turned TV drama. The TV series has got to be one of my favourite TV dramas ever. Onizuka was a ex-biker who had one goal only - to be the greatest high school teacher in the world! The Principal was one cool lady. She wasn't looking for someone who was a great chemistry or maths teacher, she needed a person with a good heart to fix the kids because they needed help. He was assigned to the worst class in school - a class full of great and clever kids but they were lost.

Onizuka not only became their teachers, but also their friend. He inspired them to confront problems and live their dreams. He hated the politics in the school - there were teachers who only wanted to be rich and powerful.
He also inspired other teachers in the school - he reminded them why they wanted to be teachers in the first place. Onizuka got fired a few times because he was all out helping the kids - he didn't care about being fired, if he could save the kids, so be it. In the end, when Onizuka was in trouble, the students stood by him. That was a great ending!

Dewey Finn - School of Rock (An honorable mention)

I can't help it! I have to mention Jack Black! I love this movie! I love how he took the job because he just needed the money, but he turned out to be a great teacher and inspired the kids! AWESOME!!!
