OK.. so I know this rumor has been circulating forever. However, thanks for Supernatural Hunters' Addict for posting this, IMBD has listed Jensen Ackles as Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 4 (rumor). Check this out, click here. IMBD is usually a good database source. But I can't find anything that will confirm this. And certainly nothing from the studio Screen Gems (Sony). BeyondHollywood.com has some articles in relation to the script development of the movie, but nothing about casting or whether the movie is a go.
I guess we will find out when it becomes true. Let me know if you come across anything on this.

IMDB removed Jensen from the Resident Evil 4 Cast about a week ago. I wasn't sure if you knew or not. I hope he plays the part though. He'd be perfect. IMDB also changed the name of "Resident Evil: Afterlife" to just "Resident Evil 4", so I hope these changes on their page are just the studios and actors going through negotiations and such. IMDB had also messed up the synopsis of the "Lucifer Rising" episode of Supernatural. It said Bobby was going to make a deal with a demon to bring John Winchester back from the dead. Then the episode aried and IMBD changed it to match what really happened. I don't know, they seem to be having a lot of problems with their info lately.
ReplyDeleteIMDB posted Jensen Ackles as Leon Kennedy, according to my sources in Universal Studios where they film most of Supernatural, Jensen Ackles has been getting calls from his agent about the role of Leon. Whats for certain is that he knows about the role and that he's most likely thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be really cool to see him in RE4. Jensen is a really great actor but just hasn't been given enough of a chance to be seen by a broader audience then teen girls.
ReplyDeleteI think that RE4 could be entertaining, however, i also feel that it should be the last of the neverending horror/monster themed shows/movies he does.
One movie I would really love to see him in though would be to star as Captain America. There have been so many fights over this on every forum i've been to. I think it would give him a real chance to stretch his acting muscles, especially since that role would carry on into The Avengers movie. Just imagine Jensen on screen with Edward Norton and Robert Downey Jr.
That would be so freakin' awesome!
In the official supernatural magazine it clearly says "supernaturals own jensen ackles is used to dealing with the undead as dean winchester, but it looks like he will soon be doing it on the big screen too. in resident evil 4 jensen is set to play leon s kennedy.

Although im not a huge fan of Resident Evil 4 and 5. I like them but, I wished they'd bring Zombies and Monsters back to these games.
But anyways, Jensen would be literally perfect for the part of Leon Scott Kennedy.
