Smallville gets a 2-hour series finale; Supernatural also gets a 2-hour season finale

Today is full of awesomeness!!!

The series finale of Smallville will get a 2-hour special! The last time we got a 2-hour special was back in season 9 with Absolute Justice. This is so sad as this is the last 2 hours of Smallville. I am so happy that my friend introduced me to this show 2 years ago. And I've loved it ever since! The series finale will air on May 13.

As for Supernatural, the season finale won't air on the same night as Smallville. But we will get a 2-hour finale a week after (May 20). Visit IGN for details. There is no official words regarding the renewal of season 7. I guess we will know very soon!

Piecing Misha's rhino; 3 sleeps to go LACon

I am on cloud 9. I won't let anything and anyone to ruin my day, my life, my happiness. I live to have fun. I am a hugger not a hater.

A few months ago, Supernatural fans campaigned to get our favorite show onto the cover of TV Guide. Misha Collins would help campaigning the voting in exchange of a live rhino from the WB/CW publicist. We won. But no sign of a live rhino. Only if you've received a letter in the mail from Misha you'd know the whole story (cough cough I have the letter).

So SPN received the most votes and we were on the cover of TV Guide. Misha tweeted that we could send him our addresses to claim a piece of rhino anyway as some of celebration if you will.

All thanks to the awesome Laura (I owe you one), I have received the following information from Misha regarding his rhino initiative. I am on a mission with Team 5 to piece together our rhino.

Misha sent a letter & a puzzle in a plastic zip bag
 I got my puzzle
Misha with the full rhino

If you are confused.. don't be.. There are 6 teams. Each team has I guess 60 pieces of puzzles, each with a number assigned to it. I am on team 5, I have piece 41 of 61. We are locating other pieces within our team and piece the rhino together. There, we shall see Misha's email address and hopefully win the ultimate prize (yes, other than getting hold of Misha's email address, I am greedy and want more). I'll keep you posted.

If you are on team 5 of this worldwide rhino initiative, go to Misha's Rhino Support Group on LiveJournal for more info.

There is of course one more reason to be on cloud 9.. oh let's see.. what is it? That's right! 3 sleeps to go until I get to LA for LACon. Don't be jealous.. be very jealous! I am evil, I know!

Today, the first person I know have departed from Australia to LA for the convention. I told her I couldn't believe what I was about to say: SEE YOU IN LA! And for the whole morning, I have this smile on my face! Today, I also got a ticket to have a Jim-Misha sandwich at the convention.

AND to top the above excitement, I am also going to hug this man:

I NEED TO BE AWESOME....

Captain America! Superbowl trailer and new poster

This is something I have been waiting for since the casting of Captain America, thanks to Jensen, who didn't get cast obviously. I stayed up for a few nights to catch the casting development, I so wanted him to get the role. But I understand! I still prefer Jensen over Chris Evens. But it's still better than anyone from Gossip Girl and The Office. Chris Evens is growing on me. Have you seen him in Scott Pilgrim? LOL!

Here is the trailer from Superbowl and also a new poster.

PS* I am NOT liking any casting news regarding the new Superman. This movie is dead on arrival!

Who wants candy??? Jensen, Jared, Jeffrey Dean Morgan at Superbowl

Jensen, Jared, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Tom Welling went to the Superbowl together. That's right. TOGETHER! I am going all fan girl about this right now. Thanks to reliable sources on Twitter :) Punkd didn't get Tom. (Surprised? He super-speed away before anyone caught him!)

4 sleeps to go -- LACon, here comes Tiny!

I was just going over my stuff last night, it's been 7 months since I booked my flight & convention tickets. Just last weekend, I organized some extra memory cards and camera battery. I think 6 cards should do as I don't want to miss a heart beat. Right?

The past few days, I started to receive reminder emails from airline and hotel etc. I wish I get a special SPN room key or a gift bag on arrival. We were just talking about hugs on Twitter, which is the forth most important subject on Supernatural. Since Cas didn't get a hug from Sam, for whatever awkward reason, I think Misha & Jared should hug on stage at LACon, just to make up the lost hug of Cas. Yeah, call me crazy.

The preliminary program of LACon is out, except Sunday. Check out the CreationCon website for detail. I am hoping to see the final program before I leave.

So this is what's gonna to happen. I will be away from Friday for about a little over a week. Don't worry you don't hear from me. I don't know how good or crap wifi is in the States. But I do have the app on my iPad to update blog, I will do my best to do so. It all depends on wifi. You can follow me on Twitter: @tiny_winchester

The dude asked where Dean found the dragon sword, Dean replied "Comic Con!"

Review: Supernatural 6.12 Like a Virgin

Hello? I am back.

There is no better song than Aerosmith's Back In the Saddle to be the opening song for the mid-season premier of Supernatural.

It is awesome to have Supernatural back and we didn't get the Ghostfacer/ Family Remains type of filler episodes. Not that I don't like fillers, but sometimes when you're gone for so long, you don't want the non-alcoholic cocktail or the chai latte. You want something strong, like Johnnie Walker Blue label or ice chocolate with chocolate ice-cream.

Supernatural came back really strong with Like a Virgin. It did not disappoint, the recap was epic. If you haven't watched the first half of this season, that recap certainly helped. The episode itself has so much awesomeness in it. The show didn't wait until the next episode to reveal the new big bad. (Not sure if the actress was convincing enough to be a baddie, but I have a theory on this. More later.)

I don't know about you, but in retrospect, I always felt a tiny nod in my tummy when I watched the first half of season 6. Not in a bad way, but there were so many questions unanswered episode after episode: what's with the alphas; where is purgatory; what the fudge is grandpa doing; what's up with Sam; what do you mean Sam's soul is missing; what's with the creepy tea party? I just wanted to know enough, just throw me a bone, you know!

But this mid-season premier came back like a smoothie, it wasted no time to flush out all the obvious details (which they could have dragged it out a bit) -- Puppy-eye Sam woke up with his soul intact; it didn't take long for Sam to find out about his soulless self (thanks to huggy bear); the boys are back on the road immediately; Purgatory is revealed and so is the new big bad, Mother.

So let's talk about Mother. Every time I hear Mother, I have Mother from Lost in my head! Can't help it! And she was weird!

Why the virgins and why were the dudes collecting them? I thought perhaps they needed more than one body to open the Purgatory's gate. But the first one that we saw succeeded. Perhaps may be Mother needed more than one vessel because the vessel won't contain Mother too long, or may be Mother needed a fresh body all the time. May be the virgins are some kind of leverage. And whatever Mother's is, she is bad-ass. She could be pissed off, because after all these years angels and demons dominated earth, she was left out and now she wanted the fun. What do you call Mother by the way? I mean early sign didn't indicate whether she was a fallen angel like Luci or she was a demon or she was just a mother of all monsters. The reveal of Mother set up the second half of season 6 nicely. Something tells me season 6 is only going to get more epic!

The brotherly moments were great to watch -- the hug was the best one since Lazarus Rising; I was very happy to see the boys back on the road in the Impala working a case with no argument or disagreement; I was happy to see Dean not too stress. And the return of Sam's puppy eyes was very nice! There was no awkward moment.. well.. expect when Cas wanted a hug and didn't get it. Even Bobby got a hug! Poor Cas! (HAHA!) And how awesome and funny to see Dean tried to pull an Excalibur? Kudos to Jensen's comedic performance as well as the music!

I guess my overall reaction on this episode is this: I am very happy.

A hug? Ewwww..

Yes please..

The episode was written by Adam Glass and directed by Phil Sgriccia.

9 days to LACon; The 3rd Birthday; the return of SPN and SMV

It's down to a single digit. 9 days to go and I am off to LA for LACon!! Seriously, I am so excited (surprise?). So excited I think I am going to do a runsheet for the convention and designate which memory card and camera to use for each session! I am organising so final details such as extra camera battery and memory cards (class 4 or above), just to be sure!

This is going to be the trip of a life time. I have never done anything this crazy before and this is quite crazy in my book. I cannot, I repeat CANNOT WAIT to meet Jensen in person! I must not faint!

Speaking of Jensen, he did another voice job for a video game called The 3rd Birthday, he plays Kyle Madigan. The game also features Yvonne Strahovski as Aya Brea. The game is created by Square, who created other games such as Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider. OMG.. two of my favorite talents are in the same game, their voices, acting and good looks should be transcended onto the big screen. Can someone make this a live action movie NOW? Like NOW!!?? The 3rd Birthday released on 29 March. Click here for the PR release. Check out an article on Zap2it, they have a really cool photo of Aya and Kyle against Yvonne and Jensen. Love interest OMG! They make a great on-screen action couple!! HOT! I'll pay 3D for this movie, should there be one!! HEAR ME NOW MOVIE STUDIO!!!

After after last week's schmazel caused by the CW, Supernatural and Smallville are back for real this time. Fans! Do not miss this week's all new episodes of Supernatural and Smallville. If you live in the States, please watch the shows live.

A trip down memory lane: Jared at Supanova 2008

This edition features Jared's visit to Sydney back in 2008. He was a guest at the Supanova Convention. He came alone. He was tall and friendly. Someone requested a hug from him and got it. And that person wasn't me. :)
