Do you think Jensen could have waited for the iPad 2?

Do you think Jensen could have waited for the iPad 2? I was thinking about the same too, but you know what, I am really happy with the first generation, and like I said before, I am really not missing out too much.

"Dang! Should've waited! Hey Jared, do you want this?"

I went to the iPad 2 launch at the Sydney's Apple Store last night. I was there probably 7pm, I didn't queue up. I was just taking photos and videos. I was actually surprised the queue was as long as the queue on the opening night of the store! The opening night was raining, so was last night. The vibe was so much like the opening night. And I really want one of the black umbrella with the white Apple logo on it. The store people were distributing the umbrellas to fans waiting outside, I didn't know they actually collected the umbrellas back! I supposed if you just hide it, they won't know? Anyway, if you want to buy the iPad 2 last night, officially you have to line up. They only allowed you to enter in a group of 6 to 7, led by a concierge to the 3rd floor. The Apple Store was busy as usual, but that's like everyday, right?! At a product launch like this, I usually just go straight to the 2nd floor to play, there are less people there.

Let's talk about the stuff that are totally unimportant. TOTALLY! I got my hands on the iPad 2. It was thinner (it's Mac Air thin!), lighter (but not much lighter than iPad 1), faster and sharper (not that it was previously blurry). I was a little underwhelmed by the white iPad. It isn't the classic Apple white, if you know what I mean. It's not like the whole iPad is white, it still has the aluminum back. The white is a little too 'glassy' to me. If it's white, I want it to be the classic Apple white. Not that the look is important or anything.

There are some very interesting stats here. Check out this article, it has the profile of the people at the Apple Store on London’s Regent Street. Were they single, did they own an iPhone, did they have a beard etc.. LOL. Go read it! It's fun!

The SmartCover is also a fridge magnet, this makes Teeny very excited. She can now stick the iPad on the fridge when she cooks. That brings me to the next topic.. two of my friends including Teeny have decided to buy the iPad 2. I got all these texts yesterday and feel the Apple love! I love a good Apple lover!

If you're thinking of getting something more than a phone but less clumsy than a laptop, you should consider the iPad. It delivers. I hate papers. I don't want to print anything anymore, I love taking my iPad to meetings etc and make notes and show clients stuff. It's better than taking a laptop. When I get back to the office I sync it via iTune. It's great! It's fun and it's cool. It's not about the image, but I really don't see the value and the awesomeness of carrying a $600 laptop from Officeworks.

The iPad is smarter than I thought and it's almost like a cultural revolution, our habits are changing and we are demanding real time news and service more than ever. The iPad pushes the industry to do better. It's good competition. Businesses should take advantage of this revolution. Do it or die!

Again, what makes the iPad (or iPhone) awesome, is the App Store. I randomly discovered 3 new apps last night: pUniverse (so I know what I am looking at when I look up to the sky), Fish Fingers (coz I suck at taking care of real fishes) and The Photo Cookbook -- Baking (I am inspired to bake again!)

Part 1: The Apple Store looks amazing at night.

I want the black umbrella with the white Apple logo!!

Part 2: The Apple Store looks amazing at night.

Part 3: The Apple Store looks amazing at night.

Erica Durance - TV Guide Photoshoot & WB Interview

Cannot wait for this issue of TV Guide!!!!! I love Erica! She is so cool!!

Smallville is featured on the April 7 issue of TV Guide. Don't miss it!! I think Tom Welling is in it as well.. I mean, the guy is SUPERMAN!! Suck it up and deal with it! Tom is our generation of Superman!

Erica also did an interview awhile ago for WB. They spent a lot of time fixing her hair and I don't see the different! LOL. This interview makes me want to watch her first Smallville episode back in season 4. I love Erica's Lois on Smallville, I have never been a Superman fan, but I am completely sold to Smallville. I want to be Lois when I grow up.

How many hours to go until the end of Smallville? Too sad, don't remind me!

Supermoon Weekend Edition - Alien Invasion Movies

I watched Battle: LA today. More alien invasion movies, fan-bloody-tastic! Just what we needed! The movie was ok, it has some moments. I was sure Jack Bauer was going to pop up and kick some butts. I don't know why I said that, but that idea did come up during the movie.

I think after Independence Day, there should be no more alien invasion movies, not with the similar ending anyway. It's like the writers can't think of a better way to end the movie: 'let's blow up the mother ship, surely no one would remember ID4, right?'

I know movies such as Battle: LA is about aliens invasion, colonisation, they come, they kill, heroes saving people. It's a blast fest with a non-stop soundtrack straight out from Epic Action & Adventure or Trailerhead. It's a good way to spend 2-hour on a Saturday afternoon, but it just looks so familiar!! When was the last time I saw an alien-invasion-colonisation-they come-they-kill type of movie? Cloverfield? At least J.J Abrams took the mockumentary approach. At least there was something creative about it.

Still, I was hoping to see something a bit more to the battle, what about the motive behind the invasion? Why are aliens always portrayed as the enemies in Hollywood movies? I guess this is why I like District 9 better, I know they are different movies, but it's about thinking outside the square. Aren't creative people suppose to be creative? District 9 has aliens but it's a drama, it's not the usual sci-fi stuff. I was drawn into it because of the drama, the relationship and the motive.

The characters in Battle: LA reminds me of those from Alien/ Aliens... May be I have been watching the Alien films re-run on TV lately, Aaron Eckhart is like a male version of Sigourney Weaver, and his marines are like Hicks' team. Perhaps the best thing about Battle: LA is the trailer of THOR.

I just want Jack Bauer to pop out and kick asses. I am sure he can do a Neo versus countless Agent Smiths and have Chloe bringing down the mothership. A 24 very own version of alien invasion movie? I like it like it!

Supernatural at Paley; Early Lockdown

Last Sunday, the cast and crew of Supernatural made their epic appearance at the Paley Fest in LA. They said a lot of things, Eric and Sera and the cast teased us and threw us a bone. I got to a point where I had to stop reading and I have decided to go into lockdown sooner than usual.

I am super excited about what's ahead of us, including the western episode and a Castiel centric episode. OMFG!!! The more I think about what they said, the more I desire to find and read spoilers. It's so addictive, seriously!!!! So I guess we'll just look at photos, shall we? ^_^

The writers are my heroes!

The boys went straight back to Vancouver after Paley. See Jared changed, Misha changed his shirt, but Jensen didn't. AWESOME!

Kripke to write Supernatural season 6 finale; Supernatural cast and crew on Twitter

HELL YEAH! Octocobra aside (whatever!), Kripke is going to write the season 6 finale. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am to hear this. I've been waiting all season for this! I kept asking, when will Kripke write an episode this season?! When I grow up, I want to be Kripke. I love him!

If you follow Jim Beaver on Twitter, he has tweeted about it! not only Kripke will write for 6.22, Sera Gamble will write for 6.21.

PS.. For those who are new to Superatural, Twitter or Facebook, please note Jensen, Jared and Genevieve ARE NOT ON ANY SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES. If you see them there, they are FAKE! I cannot stress this enough, because J2 are very private and they are NOT on any social media websites. Almost the entire cast and some crew members are on Twitter but NOT Jensen, Jared and Genevieve. Get over it! The only time you can FaceTime and HugTime is at the Convention.

Supernatural cast and crew who are on Twitter and are real include: Misha Collins, Jim Beaver, Alona Tal, Guy Bee, Richard Speight Jr., Matt Cohen, Amy Gumenick, Colin Ford, Mark Sheppard, Sebastian Roché, Samantha Ferris, Rob Benedict, Traci Dinwiddie, Chad Lindberg, Aldis Hodge, AJ Buckley and Travis Wester. You can also follow the CW on Twitter.

Other reliable sources include: Danneel Harris, Steve Carlson, Jason Manns and Clif Kosterman (Jensen and Jared's bodyguard).

Do you want to join Misha Collins and Matt Cohen in Haiti this summer?

As you know, Misha's Random Acts has on-going initiative -- The Hope to Haiti. This summer, Misha and Matt Cohen will go to Haiti together, their mission is to help build a multipurpose community center with a green design that will provide shelter and a place to educate and feed many children in Jacmel. Here is Misha's message.

It's fantastic to hear Misha is working on this trip with Matt Cohen. The trip is scheduled from June 20-26, 2011. Matt is scheduled to be there the entire trip, while Misha is scheduled to be there from 23 June. For more details on how you can join Misha and Matt, check out the Random Acts official website for details.

Two Words -- Samuel Colt

Can you feel how excited I am about the up-coming episode? Long time friends of this blog would know about my obsession of the Colt. I even nearly wrote the bloody episode just to please myself.

Anyway, 6.18 Frontierland is the episode involving time travelling to the old west, expect to see Samuel Colt, cowboys and cowboy hats. The officials have been very hush-hush about this episode, I have not seen anything such as spoilers or official synopsis anywhere, except a few Twitpics from Guy Bee who directed the episode and Jensen hurt his hand.

So I am going to give you my thoughts on Samuel Colt and what I would like to see in Frontierland. If you give a crap, read on. If not, watch this.

So, the only thing we know so far is that in 1835 Samuel Colt made the gun for hunters. He made the Colt with 13 special bullets before he disappeared, the gun along with him. Somehow it got to Daniel Elkins, a vampire hunter. We first saw the Colt in the Dead Man's Blood, where a bullet was used to kill vampire Edward, I mean Luther.

The Colt was lost and found over the years of the show. Back in season 3, Bella stole the Colt from Dean and Sam, it was gone for awhile. In season 5's The End, future Dean revealed to present Dean that he found the Colt after 5 years of searching. Later on in season 5, Becky revealed to Sam that Bella gave the Colt to Crowley. We didn't see Crowley until the second half of season five where he gave the Colt (with a new bag of bullets) to the Winchesters, hoping that they could kill Lucifer with it. But it didn't work, the Colt was designed to kill anything that move except five things in all of creation, Lucifer was one of them. We are assuming other archangels, may be the Horsemen and perhaps God were amongst the others.

What was the real story behind the Colt? Why did Samuel Colt make the gun? How did he know about the fire power it possessed? Did he know that it could kill demons and monsters? Did someone tell him about it or perhaps instruct him to make the gun? Did he act alone? Don't forget, Samuel Colt also built the giant evil's trap with the Devil's Gate in the middle. The Colt was also a key to open the Devil's Gate. I assume it also locked the Devil's Gate. The construction of the tracks, the gate and the Colt seemed strategic to me. There is no way Samuel Colt didn't know anything about anything!

Let's go further.. why did Bella give the Colt to Crowley? Surely if he was the King of Hell, he could just kill anything anyone without the Colt. Perhaps he needed the Colt to kill something more powerful, Lucifer being one (but it didn't work on him) and perhaps Mother Dearest? Think about it, Crowley wasn't going to find Purgatory and take over without a fight with Mother Dearest. So, naturally, the Colt would serve as a weapon. And I am assuming Crowley wanted to fight Mother Dearest for establishing his territory. I won't be surprised if Crowley had something to do with what happened in the old west.

With Dean and Sam going back to the old west in Frontierland, perhaps it has something to do with the story behind the making of the gun and perhaps the boys will find clues to kill Mother Dearest?

If Frontierland is not about any of the above, I can live with it. Hell! I've been living with this obsession since I started watching the show. But if I could get just one glimpse of the story behind the making of the Colt, I'd be a very very happy viewer. The Colt is tied to the mytho of the show, it's tied to John Winchester and it's tied to the demon/ angel storyarc. I somehow don't see this as a filler episode. But like I said, if it was a filler episode, I can live with it. Just saying I am dying to see something I've wanted to see for soooooooo long!!

Frontierland is directed by Guy Bee, written by Andrew Dabb and Daniel Loflin. Actor, Sam Hennings is Samuel Colt. I am sure he is great, but I still want my Jeremy Davis to be Samuel Colt.

I think too much. But I can stop now.. at least for a few weeks.
