What is a Tiny Twitter Party
Tiny Twitter Party is basically an opportunity for Supernatural fans (regardless of where you live) to re-watch Supernatural episodes together in a marathon format. We tweet about the episodes on Twitter while watching the episodes.
We usually watch three episodes per Twitter Party. Each Twitter Party has a theme, previously we've done Chadathon, which was dedicated to Dr BadAss; a Ben Edlund Marathon, dedicated to some of the episodes written by Ben Edlund and a Papathon, dedicated to John Winchester.
How to join the Tiny Twitter Party
You just need to be on Twitter. If you are not, just go to Twitter and sign up.
If you are on Twitter, here are three ways to join us:
Follow me HERE & HERE & HERE
(You must follow all the above accounts.)
Follow our tweets on TweetChat HERE
Follow my SPNRewatch member list HERE
When tweeting, feel free to add the hashtag, #Retrothon, in your tweet.
Get your DVDs/ downloads/whatever ready! We start each episode from the "Previously On".
There will be a countdown so that we can all press the play button together. Don't worry if you are a few seconds or minutes in front or behind. Every 10 mins or so, I'll tweet the viewing time of the episode, so that you know where we are up to.
You are welcome to come in and out during the rewatch.
Remember the Twitter Party is highly interactive. So don't just read our tweets or the episodes, join our conversation and make new friends.
We'll have a short break in between each episode, so that you can go get yourself another drink or another pack of chips or do your 'business'.
Anyway, hope you can join us at A Very Back to the Future Retrothon on Sunday 13 June, 2pm Australian Eastern Standard Time. Got questions? Find me on Twitter or post a comment here.

Smallville + Supernatural = SuperFriday
I don't know a lot about Tom Welling, I just know him and like him as Clark Kent on Smallville. I know he doesn't do a lot of interviews and he doesn't get out much. But he when does, people love him. Like this morning, when I was on Twitter, even the press got excited/nervous/ went all fanboys+girls about meeting him at the CW Upfronts in New York. Matt Mitovich said on Twitter that Tom was like one of the very first stars to arrive and the very last to leave, the line of press just wanted to talk to him. Read the CW Upfront Smallville report on IGN.
I got an email from the CW about the Fall Schedule. Here is the screen shot of the email. Looks nice. I like Friday.
You've heard it, the CW Fall Schedule is out! I only care about Supernatural and Smallville. The CW reunites the Super-Team this Fall. Source.
[Spoiler Hot Zone: Supernatural Season 6]
Here is what the CW press release said about Supernatural season 6... Hey, I am cool with it!! BRING IT!
Source: TVOvermind
"Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life – pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell. The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems. The series stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester, Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester and Misha Collins as Castiel."
[Tiny comment: It seems logical because now that Heaven has no leader, Castiel is the new sheriff, he must be feeling overwhelmed, like he is given the chief position at Goldman Sachs after the screw-up, right? I think season six will look kinda like Constantine, you got every supernatural thing roaming across planet earth. It's crazy! Who are you gonna call apart from the Red Blue Blur? I am super excited. I don't care about what anyone says, I am SUPER excited!]

Supernatural 5.22 Swan Song Review
It's Kripke Disneyland. He did it! He so did it! It was the perfect way to go out as the showrunner. Eric Kripke, you one bad ass-butt son of a pie! I love you! I heart Swan Song, 5 out of 5!
The episode was written by Eric Kripke aka Eric 'Giz' Gewirtz, directed by Steve Boyum. My initiate reaction was that, this episode was absolutely mind-blowing. The show has reached its maturity. It has come a long way since the Pilot. I'd be very happy if Swan Song was the series finale.
I didn't not move or breathe for the duration of the first run on my computer. I was in a Supernatural shock for about 15 minutes after the episode. I was in speechless. And then I knew I had to watch it again. I was in shock because it was a really really awesome episode, Kripke took a slightly different writing approach to it and I can't believe season five had come to an end. When Carry on Wayward Son was played, I knew even a temporary goodbye at the end of the episode would be a heart wrenching one.
5.22 Swan Song had a number of unique properties which I personally love and I think they made the episode! The most noticeable one is Chuck as the narrator for the Winchester Gospel, so to speak. This is the first (and probably the only time), we'd ever see such approach. The narrative was perfectly put together with the perfect soundtrack and montage. It was almost as if Kripke was telling the story. I had no idea where the episode was going with this. I was wondering why Chuck was telling us the back story of the Impala. I seriously thought the Impala was like the Ark of the Covenant or something. We joked for a few weeks that perhaps the Impala will run over Luci and kill him. This idea was just too cute, right?!
Fans always see the Impala as the 3rd Winchester. It is as iconic as the Millennium Falcon or R2-D2 or Kitt. I thought it was a nice nice nice back story. We met the original owner of the Impala Sal Moriarty, who drove the Impala and delivered Bibles on the weekends to the poor. We then saw young John's encounter with the Impala, followed by a series of untold stories of the brothers: Sam's plastic soldier in the ash tray, Dean's Lego in the car's vents and the young brothers carved their initials somewhere in the Impala. These were the little things in life that made their days.
In Supernatural, the Impala is the most important object in the entire universe. I love the connection between the car and the family. Although it was a muscle car, but the show didn't just use another classic rock song for the montage. Instead, a very good instrumental soundtrack was used. It was masterful. It was classy. The montage wasn't cheap and lazy. The Impala story was treated with respect, just like the story of the Winchesters. The Impala stuff was well written, well visualised and well executed. I love the details. It was such an excellent montage of the moments that mattered to the brothers and fans. The montage summed up the brothers relationship perfectly!
I think the whole point of the story about God in Supernatural is this: God wanted to see a feel-good-enough ending. The angels on this show were soldiers, they were fierce without compassion. Perhaps God wanted the humans to succeed where the angels failed. God wanted to see his new creation to make the right decisions with their own hearts and minds. Sam and Dean made some big mistakes, they had to overcome big obstacles, but what brought them together was their human quality - love and family. What other see as a weakness, it's strength to the Winchesters. As Chuck said in the end, it was a test and the brothers did alright.
The heart of the show hasn't changed. It's about the brothers and it always will be. To borrow Lost's ideology, Sam is Dean's constant and Dean is Sam's constant. Since the Pilot, this has not changed. There were some really really good brotherly moments in this episode. Seeing Dean sort of let go of Sam in the beginning of the episode was good. He has to let Sam grow up and he has to grow up too. But in the end, Dean still wouldn't let Sam to die alone. I think Dean would rather die with Sam than to live alone. I think this pretty much summed up the whole story too. I thought Sam was really brave in this episode, he was determined to carry his task and he did it! He took control of Luci and did the swan dive!
Supernatural is so brutal when it comes to killing characters! They don't think twice about it! So Swan Song was a bit anti-Supernatural, they didn't kill off Bobby and Castiel. Perhaps Eric Kripke was feeling merciful.
Do you think that was really Sam standing under the light pole? I'd say YES. Do you think Chuck was God? My answer is YES. Kripke is humoring us. What happened to Michael and Luci? Who cares?! They are in the hole, so stay there! Will Dean just live his apple pie life with Lisa and Ben? I think he will, at least for awhile, until something or someone pulls him out of retirement.
Other thoughts on Swan Song: I would have loved to see a bit more Mark Pellegrino. But that's ok.. I have seen him enough in Lost. In relation to Michael, I would have liked to see the Michael story to be a bit more epic, but I guess once Dean had said no, there was really no point of having more Michael stuff. I love all the Star Wars reference, Dean called Bobby 'Yoda' and Dean said "I have a bad feeling about this." was awesome!! I thought it was great to see Castiel to have his mojo back, which could be a foreshadowing of things to come perhaps?? I am happily wrong about Castiel being human in season six and season six being Terminator Salvation. I'd be nice, from a very personally perspective, but I am totally cool with the show NOT going Terminator Salvation.
So what's going to happen in season six? I have no idea, but here are some food for thought:
Sam is going to pop out from the Impala Trunk and screams 'surprise'! I don't think Supernatural will pull a Flock! I think Sam will be back as Sam!
Bobby will be back.
Castiel will be back as a guest star rather than a season regular, which I will be fine with it.
Crowley will be back as the King of the Crossroads. Will he be the bad big for the boys to kill?
Chuck may be back as Chuck, but nobody will ever know he is God. Having said that, I am fine if Chuck won't come back at all. I will miss him!
I still think season six is about damage control.
When I watch a TV show, I look for the wow factor. If I am investing my time on a show, it has to be awesome! I don't want to see stuff I've seen before. I don't want to see anything cheap and lazy. I want something unique. I want a good story that is well planned from the get-go. I want good characters. I was to see growth. I want to see good effort. I want it to take me away every time I watch an episode. Supernatural ticks all the boxes. This is the show I care about. I trust the writers and I trust Sera Gamble. I cannot wait for season six to air!
Eric Kripke, I love you! Thank you so much for creating the best show! Please come back and write at least one episode in season six.

Interview with the Jensen Ackles (Toronto Sun)
Is it just me or do you notice that Jensen or Jared hasn't done much interviews lately? Good thing Toronto Sun has recently caught up with the one and only Jensen Oh-Dear-God Ackles.
To quote Jensen on season six: "For me, my anticipation of the first script of Season 6 is going to be higher than almost any season.” Read the full interview here.
The Wrap also posted this article about financing Indie films, Jensen was mentioned.

Review: Supernatural 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight
From what I can see, fans and critics are unanimous on how good 5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight was. The episode was written by Sera Gamble and directed by Phil Sgriccia. Meaning? QUALITY! The episode was well written, well directed and well performed by all cast members.
The episode was jam-packed with story lines! The boys have to deal with two Horsemen in one episode, but I didn't feel overwhelmed. The character Death was so well written and the actor Julian Richings executed the role brilliantly. The introduction of Death with O'Death was one of the things I've seen on the show. Matt Frewer's Pestilence was awesome too. The way I look at doctors will never be the same again. Having missing in the last episode, I like how Pestilence was written in this episode, I didn't need more or less of him.
It was rather epic to see Team Sam went to the warehouse to stop the demons from distributing the vaccines while Team Dean went to kill Death in Chicago. It was like Frodo and Sam went to destroy the Ring, while Aragorn and co fought the army of trolls.
Not only Two Minutes to Midnight set up the season five finale nicely, this episode was a foreshadowing of things to come, almost like a 'back-door' launch for season six. I'm soooo going to tell you how! So.. let's go!
Slimer from Ghostbusters is in the house!
When I saw the green slimy ectoplasm, I thought Slimer from Ghostbusters was in the house! I swear Supernatural writers love the Ghostbusters (who doesn't?). In season two's No Exit, Dean mentioned about the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man when he found the black ectoplasm, it was a reference to Ghostbusters.
Anyway, you got Pestilence being a douche as Doctor Not-So-Sexy. Pestilence's ultimate plan is to release the Croatoan virus. You think swine flu is bad? It's only the first step! We have seen some of this in The End, the Croatoan virus dominated the time line of that episode. As per my previous thoughts (here and here), I'd love to see season 6 to go Terminator Salvation and focus on the damage control or the after-myth of the battle. The Croatoan virus is now a reality, I think it's likely to see this to be the focus of season six.
Castiel needs food, money, a bus ticket.. and a hug
How good was it to see Castiel back? And what a way to re-introduce him back to the show. Cas without his angel mojo, on a hospital bed, talking to Dean on the phone. Cas and Dean (occasionally Sam) have the BEST telephone conversations on television!
Although Cas lost his angel mojo, but he can still fight. In the hospital scene, he chopped Pestilence's finger out. (Ewww.. and Dean just picked it up like.. oh look, spring rolls anyone?) At the warehouse, Cas kicked asses too. He's been in his fighting mode since Point of No Return and I love it!
I think this episode is the beginning of Cas' transformation into the Cas in The End. I expect Cas to be around in season six and he will appear like the way we see him in The End. Supernatural has killed so many hunters, the writers need to save some for later, Cas is a perfect character who could support and fight with the boys along with Bobby and Rufus.
Riverdance, starring Bobby Singer
I didn't see this coming. Bobby can finally walk! Thanks to Crowley! But I can't help to think Crowley has another agenda. It was soooo good to see Bobby back in action!!!! I love Bobby! While we didn't see THE kiss on screen, cheeky Crowley took a photo on his iPhone! That was priceless!! I think it is the first sighting of an Apple product on Supernatural! Tiny the AppleNut is going nuts!
Sam's hair was so well-styled!
I know I am not the only one when I say this: If Sam has a haircut, it will bring world peace! Sorry Jared! Love ya but can't help it!
Bobby is right, Sam is still a good kid.. there is still good in him! (Star Wars reference!!). What do you think about his plan? It's a BIG risk, but I think he can do it!! I think Sam will succeed!
Perhaps season six will take place 3 to 5 years later and begin with Dean looking for Sam, because Sam doesn't remember who he is after the big show-down in Detroit. You won't see the brothers apart but you know Dean has been looking for Sam for 3 to 5 years. That would be awesome!
Mr Crowley
Mark Sheppard was once again awesome as Crowley!! I am really loving his presence on the show!!! We can pretty much expect Crowley to turn once this is over! He is a demon, he cannot be trusted. He will always always think only for himself. I don't think he is working for Luci, he just wants to be the boss. I think Crowley will be around in season six and be the main baddie.
To have Crowley as the main supporting character at this stage of the show is weird in terms of timing, but Mark Sheppard, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelicki really have great chemistry.
Death is old and he likes pizza.
Who wants pizza? It would be funny if Death offer Dean a cheeseburger or pie instead of pizza.
Death is awesome!!! His introduction took up 1.30 minutes of the episode, with a title song O'Death. This is possibly one of the best produced scenes on the show. The choice of location is perfect, Chicago! It was so Godfather like. This scene is perfect! That's how you introduce someone like Death!
The dialogue for Death was so well written and masterful. Kudos to Sera Gamble! Dean's reaction to everything Death said was so well performed by Jensen Ackles.
Dean, the watch tower is watching you
Death is old and he is more powerful than anyone can imagine. Death has God-like power. What if Death knew Dean's future as well as God did, that's why Dean could cheat death on more than one occasion. Sure, Dean always gets out of trouble and stuff, but it's possible that Death knew Dean would be the one helping him to put Luci back to prison.
The Death and Dean scene is the best and my favorite scene of the entire episode. It was simple awesome!!
Death's Scythe vs Dean's Amulet
I think it is very very interesting to see a parallel between Death's scythe and Dean's amulet. They serve as the life-sign detector of Death and God. When Dean approached Death with the scythe, it burned. Just as Dean's amulet, it's supposed to burn hot in God's presence. Will we finally get to see God as well? I really want to!!!! But I know I probably won't!
Just desserts
This episode gets 4.666 out of 5 from me! I cannot wait to watch the finale! 5.22 Swan Song is written by Eric Kripke and directed by Robert Singer!! OH BRING IT WITH CARRY ON WAYWARD SON!!
In case you missed it, Supernatural was a trending topic on Twitter on Thursday (US)/ Friday Australian time around mid-morning/ lunch time. AWESOME! I am so proud of you guys!!
5.21 Two Minutes to Midnight scored 2.54mil in rating. Source WinchesterBros.
Supernatural is also doing well in rating in the second half of the season. According to AirlockAlpha, Supernatural was the only genre show to improve its numbers from the previous sweeps period. Full article here.
The CW has scheduled Supernatural repeat on Friday, after Smallville. I think US fans might need to get used to this, because I have a feeling the CW will pair up Smallville and Supernatural on Friday in the new and finale season of both shows. The CW is airing Moonlight (repeat) on Thursday after The Vampire Diary. Moonlight only lasted one season and the CW has a few new shows this year. So stay turned for more on the Fall scheduling.

Death: "When I asked for the bill, they wanted me to show them the pension card! So I killed them all."
Dean, the watch tower is watching you
Remember in Faith in season one, when Dean was dying he went to see the blind dude. The blind dude said to Dean that he was chosen because he was a young man with an important purpose. What if it was Death who instructed the Reaper to chose Dean?

Review: Supernatural 5.20 The Devil Wears Prada
Is it just me or do you think 5.20 The Devil You Know could have been named The Devil Wears Prada?
I wasn't expecting a Crowley centric episode. I was super tired when I watched this episode. My first impression goes like this: Pissed off Crowley was pissed off because his tailor was eaten (by Famine?); he took Castiel's seat at the back of the Impala; he was talking to the Hardy Boys under a spot light; his plan to screw Lana's boyfriend for eternity was awesome (aka the Horseman's stable boy for those who don't watch Smallville); Crowley's hell-puppy is bigger than Lillith's.
After I watched it once, I was like.. wow, for a demon who isn't too important in comparison to Lillith or YED, I was surprised to see how Crowley suddenly became a key character in the scheme of things. I can tell Ben Edlund actually devoted a lot of his time on developing this character in just one episode. Perhaps because of this, everything else was written as supporting material, including Dean and Sam. I love the chemistry between Dean and Crowley, Crowley was actually funnier and more unpredictable than Dean, he actually got more one-liners than Dean! The episode was jam-packed with Crowley's awesomeness.
Yes. The plot didn't move forward.. well.. we moved forward a little bit with the location of Pestilence, but we didn't see him.
Weird. Dean trusts a demon, but I guess he will think outside the square to get the remaining Horseman rings.
Lana's boyfriend. It was really interesting to link Brady to Sam's past. He was the one who introduced Jessica to Sam.
OK so according to the Winchester Gospel, we know we can never trust a demon. I won't be surprised if he flips and does a Ruby. But if he can't be trusted, what is his end game? If he is indeed an ally, and when the boys kick Luci back to his cage (and they will!!), what will Crowley do? He said that the reason why he is helping is because he wants his life back as a sales-demon, which could be part of the season six story arc. One thing for sure, I don't expect Crowley to be like some sort of fallen angel who fell but he was in fact helping God. So I am really interesting to see what Crowley will do next in the scheme of things.
Mark Sheppard was simply awesome as Crowley. He is that good, I think he is now my favorite demon on the show. His performance out-shinned Jensen and Jared in this episode. He pretty much saved the episode.
Last but not least, what's with the Bobby deal? I think I am prepared. That's all I will say for now.
The next two episodes are going to be sick! Like jam-pack, intense, LOTR-StarWars-epic. Some of the looming questions are:
Will Sam say yes?
What is the strategy to kick Luci back to his cage?
Will we see God, finally?
Will we see Michael again?
Why is Bobby so important?
Where is Castiel and how will be help?
What is Crowley's agenda?
Will there be a cliff-hanger?
My brain can't function now. This has been a very busy week for me. I have reserved the next two Fridays for Supernatural, I cannot frekking wait to see 5.21 Two Minutes Before Midnight (written by Sera Gamble) & 5.22. Swan Song (written by Eric Kripke).
PS - The Papathon took place on Sunday 3 May 2pm AEST. It was awesome to have a John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) marathon. Endless thanks to all for the great time! Again, most of us used JDM as our Twitter icons. You guys are too awesome!! It's a bit small but here is the screen shot of the Papathon. The next Twitter party will be announced later. There will be a few Twitter parties during the hellatus.
