CW Fall Schedule 2013-2014; Supernatural Moves to Tuesdays

Source: CW
Before I went to bed last night, I was just having a chat with a few tweeps about the Fall Schedule, specifically the CW's schedule for Supernatural and Arrow

As I mentioned previously regarding Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (S.H.I.E.L.D), I thought it will be TV war between DC and Marvel if both S.H.I.E.L.D and Arrow are on the same night. But as turned out, there won't be one. S.H.I.E.L.D will be on Tuesday nights at 8pm on ABC, and Arrow will stay on Wednesday nights at 8pm on the CW. This is a very exciting TV schedule for fans of the movie franchise, original comics, geeks, Joss Whedon and Stephen Amell's much appreciated abs.

Speaking of Tuesday nights, the CW has announced that Supernatural will move to Tuesdays at 9pm with The Originals (The Vampire Diaries spin-off) at 8pm. I don't mind the move, but I would prefer Supernatural and Arrow to be on the same night. Having said that, it is a business decision. The established shows, Supernatural (Tuesdays), Arrow (Wednesdays) and The Vampire Diaries (Thursday) will pair up with a new buddy each -- The Originals (Tuesdays), The Tomorrow People (Wednesday) and Reign (Thursday). The CW plays to its strength -- Tuesday nights and Wednesday nights look hot and hot guys!

One thing for sure, Tuesday nights are good nights for TV and for the CW. As long as Supernatural gets good rating, I am happy. We need good rating to get season ten. Let's stick together as a fandom and make this happen!

The CW has a few new shows this season. The Tomorrow People could be a hit and miss. But it certainly looks epic on paper! And it's a great show to keep male audience after Arrow on Wednesday nights. I'll watch it for Mark Pellegrino for sure! Reign is the first period drama CW has ordered. I kinda see the Tudors thing happening here. Then again, it's not something I'll be jumping on the fan wagon immediately. Speaking of new shows, The 100 certainly looks interesting too. But it does belong to the same genre as The Tomorrow People. The 100 is introduced during the mid-season.

Since last fall, I have been watching then-new shows, Arrow and Revolution, I've been on and off with Once Upon A Time. I think this fall will be equally exciting! If I can't watch them all, I'll definitely be getting the DVDs.

More Thoughts on Supernatural Season Eight & Beyond; and J2 Photos from The CW Up Fronts

It's been awhile since Supernatural goes into the hiatus with an extremely positive vibe. Moving to Wednesday is a big move, it's obvious the CW thinks the show deserves to be in a good prime time slot, but the CW boss Mark Pedowitz also told the press yesterday at the Up Fronts some very positive news going forward: “I’m not looking at season 8 as the final year in any way, shape or form.”

This helps new co-showrunner, Jeremy Carver and his team to plan two seasons ahead. I think once a show goes to five and then gets one more season, and then it goes on for two seasons, it should get a full ride to ten. But that's me talking, right? Fans? Smallville didn't get my full attention and my love until season eight because of Brian and Kelly and some brilliant writings, and Erica Durance stepping into the leading lady role.. the mytho just gets stronger. Smallville is a great example of with a great formula going forward to its tenth season. YOU CAN DO IT! There is no reason why Supernatural can't keep up. I have faith in the writers and the cast. We want it. We want it. We want it!

PS, Jensen looks like a movie star! Him in a grey suit, light blue shirt with a champagne gold tie is a winner. Like "Thank you for the academy" kinda winner! OMG!

There are a few spoilers from the cast about the season finale.. I tried not to read it, but Jensen made me!!! I won't tell you, go find it yourself. I am on finale lockdown!
But you can watch it on E!Online.

OK, I stayed up pretty late last night and I collected a few photos from Twitter. I can't keep up who posted what, however, thank you for those who posted photos, we love them, we love you, we appreciate all the tweeting. They are yours, not mine.

Supernatural is finally out of purgatory!

When Smallville and Supernatural were on the same nights, that was pretty epic for a TV schedule -- whether it was a way to attract more male audience or not, and not that I tuned in in real time (because I don't live in the States.. And don't ask me where I live, I'd probably tell you I live in a shoebox in the middle of the road with high speed internet access). Jensen Ackles + Jarpad + Tom Welling = radioactive hottest!

So, hot off the press.. The CW has announced their Fall TV schedule, they are pairing up Arrow (8pm) and Supernatural (9pm) for Wednesdays! I don't know about you, but that's a very good night of entertainment for fans who love superhero and supernatural stuff! Supernatural was on Tuesdays, then Thursdays and Fridays...now on Wednesdays...Supernatural season nine will probably be on Mondays? Oh wait...what...season nine? (You never know!)

Arrow is one of those shows I am kind of excited about. It could turn out like Smallville or the other way, The Cape. But I hope it sticks around, because I think TV needs superheroes. So when is Marvel making the Avenger TV series.. or something? The thing I am excited about Arrow is Katie Cassidy, (Ruby 1.0 in Supernatural.) AWESOME!

Friday nights are usually a dead spot for TV shows, it's purgatory. I think when the CW (cough cough Dawn Ostroff) moved Supernatural to Friday nights, a lot of fans were scared. I don't know about you, but I think the CW new boss Mark Pedowitz shows a lot of support to Supernatural. The show laughed in the face of death, they have defied gravity and KICKED IT IN THE ASS! Anyhoo, Supernatural will return in October instead of September. And in October, I will be in the States!!! WOOT WOOT

Want to see the season eight description, which they won't tell you much! Go to Winchester Daily for details. It is basically a summary of season one to seven.

Jarpad at TCA 2012; More PCA Awards Follow Up News; CW's Cult & Deadman

(January 11, 2012 - Photo by Frederick M. BrownGetty Images North America)
First thing first, Jarpad is funny and we all know that. He is like a kid on Xmas Day, and everyday is like Xmas. Jarpad is always in a good mood and you can really feel the happiness when you see him live on stage, whether it be a Supernatural convention, ComicCon or any press panels.

This morning, the CW put together the 'Bad-Ass Boys of the CW' panel as part of the Television Critics Association (TCA) winter press tour. Jensen should've been there, but Jarpad said he was working. Other panellists included Kistoffer Polaha, Wilson Bethel, Shane West, Ed Westwick and Joseph Morgan. Reuters has a summary of the bad-ass panel. I found a good collection of photos from Zimbio. You know I can't help it, here are a few I'd like to borrow from that website. Photos by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images North America. Jarpad looks so sharp!

The CW also produced a day planner with photos of their talent inside.. thanks to Danielle Turchiano for sharing the following page/ photo from the day planner on Twitter today. You can follow her on Twitter @danielletbd, she is a huge supporter of Supernatural. I don't know if this day planner is available for purchase, I doubt it, but good to just look at the picture! Yum!

I love how the CW is getting some recognitions out there at award shows, and I think despite Supernatural's big win didn't make it to the main broadcast of the PCA, I think the CW knows Supernatural is a big brother of the network. The cult status, the popularity and the fanbase of the show is bigger than it seems on paper. I really like the CW thank you banner. There are two versions. You can see both version on Spoiler TV.

The Huffington Post's Laura Prudom has this awesome article about a conspiracy theory towards genre shows including Supernatural and the politics behind the snub from PCA. Here is her 'Supernatural wins at The People's Choice Awards, but is there evidence of a genre conspiracy?' article.

As you can imagine, fans felt kinda cheated by PCA. There were loads of questions on Twitter to the crew of Supernatural, including Co-Producer of Supernatural Jim Michaels, he tweeted that they were informed that neither of the awards the show was nominated for would be part of the broadcast. Fans never really have faith in the industry/ network, the politics and the discrimination against genre shows is madness. Genre dramas have always been treated like a second-class citizen. The men in suits will always be the men in suits (they are Leviathans!), and the press is the press. Thank goodness we have fan bloggers who are passionate about this and internet is an outlet for our voices.

In other news, it's been reported that the CW has picked up a pilot of a mystery drama called Cult. Eric Kripke's Deadman is still on the table. TVLine's Matt Mitovich also tweeted that the CW boss, Mark Pedowitz, told him that "the Deadman pilot is very much in the mix for development season, awaiting first script".

It's also been reported that the CW boss has indicated the network is finalising a deal for a pilot order to Arrow, an hourlong superhero drama based on DC Comics’ Green Arrow. I, for one, don't mind Justin Hartley to play Green Arrow. I think this role is his to take! Here is the report from Deadline Hollywood.

The hellatus is extended for another week.. Why?

The CW had decided to postpone the mid-season premier of Supernatural and Smallville by one week one day before airing the shows. Here is why & why.

It's not good enough. There is a thing called DRV and iTune download. Beside you can watch the episode on the CW website if you live in the States. I don't understand why the CW is giving Vampire Diaries and Nikita the special treatment. They didn't give Supernatural and Smallville the same chance when they were up against the big network on Thursday nights. Supernatural and Smallville never get much love from the network, it's like the first child is hated by the parents!

I think it looks unprofessional, considering this decision was made a day before. If the network make a decision earlier, it's fine. But it's not like they didn't know Idol or basketball was on the same night, right?

This is not cool. This is not awesome! It's embarrassing actually.
