Surviving the hiatus with Comic-Con: Eric Kripke, I love you!

Ever since the season four finale of Supernatural, I've been looking for things to do to help me to survive the hiatus. I am watching Smallville, reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (just read the first zombies fighting scene by the way) and painfully waiting for more spoilers on my favorite show.

Finally Comic-Con came to the rescue! I've only heard of Comic-Con a few years ago when I read something about Lost. They previewed the pilot at Comic-Con. Since then, I've been sort of keeping an eye on this event. Comic-Con just got bigger! I am excited about this year's Comic-Con because Eric Kripke and his team make an appearance; fans get to see some clips of the new season and there are many interviews. I have been following heaps of people on Twitter and checking updates. It's like I was there!

After reading the latest interviews from Eric Kripke, Ben Edlund and Sera Gamble, if I say 'I am excited', it would be an understatement.

(Spoilers beware!)

Three more things on my wish list are checked: The return of the Colt, Ellen/ Jo and God. Season five is going to be the mother of all epic. I am particular interested in their take on God and Lucifer, they kept saying that these characters will be different on this show. Oh yeah! Don't give me something I've seen before, show me something different!

Must read articles Cinemaspy, Eonline, iFMagazine, Aced Magazine and the roundup report from Maureen Ryan (who moderated the Supernatural panel). The CW also has some good tweets.

I laughed so hard when I read about Castiel,
he is being “fired” as an angel. Ha! That's funny!

And.. is everyone excited about the 100th episode of Supernatural? I CANNOT FUDGING WAIT! I hope it's a musical .. arh.. actually no! hehe..

Oh yeah.. Eric Kripke! Dude I love you! You are the best in the business right now!

San Diego Comic Con is taking place this Thursday to Sunday in San Diego. It's definitely the biggest gathering of pop culture - TV shows, movies and graphic novels. (So wish I am there!)

Maureen Ryan from The Chicago Tribune will moderate the Supernatural panel on Sunday, July 26, 11:45 - 12:45pm. Please spread the word in the Supernatural fandom that Maureen will be taking questions from fans for Eric Kripke, Sera Gamble, Ben Edlund, Misha Collins and Jim Beaver. TV Guide recently did an interview with Eric Kripke - scoop on season 5! No major spoiler, but it's a good interview as per usual! Source.

My wish list for Supernatural Season 5 (contains spoilers)

I thought I have posted my wishes here and there, but I realised that I haven't posted the full list on my own blog. So here we go!

Bring back the brotherly love:
The brother vs brother theme dominated the overall story arc of season 4. The Winchester fight at the end of When the Levee Breaks was heart-breaking. There weren't many brotherly moments in season 4, they were fighting, going off to do their own thing. Although at the end of the season 4 finale Sam did say sorry but we didn't get to see their relationship reconciled. Although Dean was supposed to be the one to fight Lucifer, but I really want to see Dean AND Sam working together the Winchester way to fight Lucifer.

More
mytho episodes: I know a lot of fans really like the monster of the week/ stand alone episode. I love them too, but I just want to see more mythology based episodes. I personally want to see more heaven and hell stuff - God, archangels, Lucifer and demons! BRING IT ON!

I want a satisfying ending: Make me cry and smile at the same time please.

The return of Ellen and Jo: I think at least one of them should return to the show at some stage of season 5. Kripke killed off a lot of characters on the show, Agent Henriksen, Meg, YED, John and Mary Winchester, Ash and the psyche kids (the lot!). But he didn't kill off Ellen and Jo, we just don't know what happen to them, and I'd like to see a closure.

(Spoiler: Ellen will return to season 5! I love SpoilerTV!)

God has left the building..... but God is on Twitter!

Seriously, I want to see God but where is he?
Sera Gamble mentioned in an interview recently that characters on the show want to know the same thing. Lucifer is going to make his appearance on the show, why not God? The question is where is God and what is God doing? Who can play God? Morgan Freeman, Sir Ian McKellen or Leonard Nimoy. Highly unlikely! But I think it'd be awesome right?!

Archangels:
Having said the above point about God, I am happy with something else, give me a well known Archangel like Michael or Raphael, I'd be happy.

(Spoiler: Speaking of Raphael... I love SpoilerTV for the heads up. I am truly excited about this!!)

A movie length series finale - this will be so so so so so awesome! Please! Awesome show like Supernatural deserves an awesome send off! Other TV shows often have a movie length episode! I WANT A MOVIE LENGTH SERIES FINALE!!!!!

The question is will season 5 be the last? Well, I think Eric Kripke is certainly treating it like one! Characters we haven't seen for a long time are coming back: Ellan is back, Meg is back, Jessica is back, Rufus is back. Dead or alive, they are all coming back.. I am hearing may be JDM might be back as well! It's a party! Hell..I am also coming back on the show too! (Wait.. I am not on the show..)

A Supernatural game: I had a vision the other day. I want to play a Supernatural game. I don't care if it's on iPhone, XBox, PS3, Wii or whatever! I think it'd be cool to be Dean or Sam or Castiel using weapons and powers to fight monsters, ghosts and demons! If there is any TV show that should (and must) have a game, it's SUPERNATURAL! Lost has one.. why not Supernatural? It'd be so so so much fun to play this! I know there is a role-playing Supernatural game.. but don't know too much about it and certainly not a lot of people are taking about it. Anyone played this before?

So that's it! That's my wish list! What's on your wish list?

I love reading interviews with Bobby Singer, executive producer of Supernatural.

Here is an interview in the recent SFX magazine. Source

I love spoilers! Does it make me a bad viewer?

SPOILERS BEWARE!

Well well well... I am loving what I am reading. The titles of the first 2 episodes of season 5 are posted on SpoilerTV. No official words yet, but here they are anyway.

The season premier 5.01 Sympathy for the Devil. Episode 5.02 is
Good God, Y'All. It's like a tradition that the second episode of season 4 & 5 have the word God in it. Interesting!

WinchesterBros also has an amazing exclusive interview with Sera Gamble. Last season, we met a new supernatural species - the angels. This season...we will meet the archangels! YES!!!! Archangels are on my wishlist and I discussed this before in my previous blog. I cannot wait to see them! Read the full interview of Sera here.
